amazing_collection - doggie_utopia
Recently bought a 4gb asian mp3/mp4 player off ebay.
Well, it was only after I bought it and found I couldn't store more then about 900mb worth of files on it that I began to worry. After googling, I found this site and the information about hacked 4gb players. After checking the "true' size of the flash memory, it turns out it's only 1gb. I sorely wish I had done some research before buying the player... Anyways, doggie_utopia/amazing_collection is the scammer I bought the player off. It is the same person with 2 different accounts (they sent me and email after I purchased the player from doggie_utopia advertising all the "great" 4gb players on their other account, amazing_collection). I sent multiple emails to doggie_utopia asking about the 1gb storage size instead of the advertised 4gb, but in days I have received no reply and this person still has many 4gb players listed. I have now filed a claim with Paypal, hoping to get a refund. Damn scammers... |
Dritermius,
Good luck and hopefully you will get a refund for it. If you can warn others by placing negative feedback on the seller's account, that would help warn others against buying from doggie_utopia/amazing_collection. Keep us posted on the result of your refund and what you did. Perhaps we can all share some templates or sample emails to send to Paypal/eBay to help with the refund. |
Re: amazing_collection - doggie_utopia
Unfortunately after I got the mp3 player and found it worked perfectly after using it for a week or so (I hadn't tried loading it past 1gb yet) I left a glowing positive feedback for doggie_utopia.

Re: amazing_collection - doggie_utopia
UTTERLY RIDICULOUS.
After going to the hassle of taking the '4gb' mp3 player to a local computer guy and having it examined, and having him send his findings to paypal, I get this email. We have concluded our investigation into your Buyer Claim. Quote:
How the FUCK does a 1gb player being sold as a 4gb one NOT constitute a 'significantly not-as-described' case?!?!! |
WOW, that is crazy!
Have you complained to eBay as well about the problem? Can you redo your feedback and change it to a negative one instead? |
Re: amazing_collection - doggie_utopia
doggie_utopia has now closed down her ebay account.
near the end she was getting alot of calls of 'hacked memory' in her feedback, so she has no doubt opened a fresh account to begin scamming again. I have registered a complain with paypal, asking how the hell i could have lost the dispute when the seller was SO clearly fraudulent. |
Dritermius:
You can email paypal directly to this email: complaint-response@paypal.com Just make sure you reference the complaint number and tell them why you think this decision is not correct. A little threatening of a lawsuit wouldn't hurt either. I'm not sure what the Phone number for your country would be, but I would check the website as that is how I got this address after explaining my almost identical response to them over the phone. Just FYI. |
Re: amazing_collection - doggie_utopia
They only have a US phone number to call.
I've already filed a complaint through their 'report bad service' link. |
