i bought two sandisk extreme III 4 gb cf compact flash memory cards from ebay seller pig-pony and found them to be counterfeit- checked with sandisk corporation and they agreed and started an investigation. i filed a claim with paypal as well.

the owner of ebay accounts pig-pony, campus111 and the owner of those websites ( www.pigpony.com www.campus111.com www.usa111.com ) is name is Jianwen Li and he is the worst kind of business person out there. the reason being his sole goal is to get people to drop their claims with paypal and take back their negative feedback. what's worst is their lies. they sent me several emails saying they never sent the cards because they never got the money coz the paypal claim was preventing them from getting the money. well first off they first claimed they sent the cards and it might take a while (the tracking # was bogus coz nothing was ever done with that #) then they said they never sent it. well last week i received the cards from china via usps global express and i was asked to sign to prove delivery was made. so i opened the boxes and found them to not look right- the font etc. when i transferred some test images with my sandisk external drive (they cards showed up as toshiba cards) i then called sandisk and gave them the upc code and serial #s (then i noticed they were the same which clinched the verdict for me) and they verified they were counterfeit.

so i then posted the information about the counterfeit info on a forum i help moderate ( www.bluetack.co.uk ) and soon after jianwen li contacted the admins to see how the info could be removed (which they wouldn't do - they let me reply lol). now he has filed a report with squaretrade to see if he can get me to remove the negative feedback i left (which brings me to where a week ago where they were no longer registered now they're back)

both boxes had the same upc codes and serial numbers:

they used a different font and boxes and products did not match up as far as placement of info

I had a problem before with mp4 players. Buyers have to realize that some sellers dont even know that the items they are getting are hacked, as buyers call it. I had no idea till i got a lot of complaints on it. I stopped selling after i realized this problem. Right now memory that is available is 4gb. There is no 8gb on the market yet. I sell a lot of excesories;) for mp4 players cheap if anyone needs good earphones or extra chargers.

If there is enough interest i could set something up where we would guarantee memory to be true and be price competitive. I could beat prices from uxcell and offer 2 day air shipping. I have made a trip to china and got a very good suppler for these as well as my excesories that i have. The factory pretty much works for me now and makes accesrories for ipod and mp3 players for me. They have the equipment to make mp4 players and only use the best flash (samsung) The quality is very good on these units and we could even offer a 1 year warranty. If there is enough interest i will talk with the owner of this site and start paying for advertisement
