2 new scammers out there: raymond0525 , jcl0924
 

raymond0525 & jcl0924 = SCAMMERS

These two people use the same paypal payment addy and the same customer service email address , that email address is jane0924@gmail.com . This person, with 2 names; is selling from both accounts, fake 2 Gigabyte Nano clones. The units look OK and have a decent interface but once I formatted them using the steps in the tutorial on this site, low and behold total space was 961 Megabytes. Beware of these two, they have nearly perfect feedback, which I have no clue how, and they are scamming everyone , nearly 50 units a day. I have filed claims against them on both ebay and paypal, hopefully it shuts them down and at least gets me a refund. Good luck to all of you in your quest to find something legit, just stay away from these assholes.

I also just got a 2GB player from jcl0924 that was really a 1GB player that had hacked memory capacity.

Same here 1GB with a sticker that says 2GB. Waiting on a response from jcl0924 right now. I gave the seller 24hrs to respond or I'll start the complaint process.

They may have been victims too.

Update: Well retract that comment about them being a victim. I received no response.

I contacted some of the people buying their players and warned them. But I forgot Ebay sets a limit on PMs on their service. :evil:

I did File complaints directly with ebay's customer support (not 10 days yet for a formal complaint) and did a formal complaint with Paypal.

I suggest everyone do the same that has dealt with jcl0924. Of course you may be able to get the same units for $10 bucks now as I think the word is slowly getting around. I notice that some of the new postings are becoming private bidding now.

I wanted to update all who have bought a MP3 player from jcl0924....

They responded :shock: to my Paypal complaint. But get this, they want me to return the player BEFORE the refund the money. Yea Right :roll:

I've continue to pass the word on to other bidders, at the same time asking them to view this forum and to help stop these types of dishonest sellers.

And last, but not least, I'd like to know about a bidder called slamdunk233391. I believe it is a "shill" bidder for the same seller jcl0924.

Those who have bought from this seller, please let me know what your Ebay number is so I can do some more cross-checking. But only send your number if you find slamdunk233391 in the bidders list.

I also purchased a 2GB player that was only 1GB! I e-mailed them but have received no response yet! No way I send it back to them and hope for a refund. At least it is 1GB and not less like some other unfortunate people out there. I guess it could have been worse.

amnman - slamdunk233391 was not in my bidding list.

Please give a call. If you did not do right to remove the unit, some section of the disk memory will be demaged. That is why showing 1GB.

Igotscammed - I'd start complaining too Paypal (if you used them) and Ebay (if it has been 10 days since the purchase) because nothing will happen to this seller until enough people complain.

I'm getting a lot of THANK YOU messages from buyers and I'm starting to post in the forum as well.

Let us not let them get away with this.

I was just looking at my eBay item that I bought from jlc0924, and I noticed that this seller isn't a registered eBay user anymore.

That's correct, others are complaining about this fraudulent sellers. Make sure you file a claim, I'm sure paypal has locked all the funds for these two sellers.

how much did you pay for the 2gb player?

With Shipping and the Shill bidder... $45.

Even the shill bidder slamdunk233391 was removed.

jcl0924's alter-ego raymond0525 is still running, working on getting them removed also. :evil:

Ok folks, new update!!

As you know I was taken by jcl0924 and I'm still fighting them. Since this username is now unregistered at Ebay... I wanted to Identify the alter-egoes used by this individual(s). So this post will be updated as I go along and find out more.

The following username and store that are still registered will be posted below:

raymond0525 (ink4goodprices)
chaooliang (inkqueens)

These individuals are jcl0924. I'm not going to say how I know except too ebay (already done) and to keep them off guard so they can continue stepping on their toes when they open a new username and store front.

JCL0924 (Elufei Store) is back up and selling the same hacked players!!

Sorry to say that jcl0924 is still at it. I recently bought a "4GB" from him, well of course I found this website after I got it and had problems. It's only a 1GB. :x I am currently in negotiations......will update as I know more. He of course wants me to send it back, "to see if what I say is true" :roll:

i just got sucked into this scam myself.. the 4gb player i bought is basically worthless.. after following the proper steps to format.. it reports as 17.8 MB total capacity which blew my mind completely.. .. basically NOT 4gb as described.. i wish i had done some research before i settled on the player.. i have sent jcl0924 a pretty stern message asking for a full refund.. or i would follow through with a full dispute.. he has to be aware of these other claims against him by now..
