Default Ebay will ban your messages if you warn people :(

Well folks,

It looks like I can't send another message to people because Ebay considers it spamming users. I just did my daily deal of warning people because I'm dealing with a loser as the likes of jcl0924. Here is the response I received from Ebay;

We have determined you are trying to contact eBay members with whom you are not currently involved in an open transaction. For the protection of the eBay community, we sometimes block these types of communication. To prevent this occurrence from happening in the future, we recommend the following:

If you are a seller, respond to all bidder questions before the auction ends.

If you are trying to contact the seller of an item that has not yet ended go to the item page and click the “Ask seller a question” link.

If you are the winning buyer of an item go to your My eBay page under the items I’ve Won section. Click the action drop down menu and choose the “contact seller” action.

If you are a seller trying to contact your wining buyer, go to My eBay and under the Items I’ve Sold section, click the action drop down menu. Choose the “contact buyer” action.

Reply to seller/bidder through personal email provider (if the sender has not hidden their email address).

Thank you for your understanding.

Of course, they might as well said not to mess with their pocket books. Oh well, I tried. My posting are still alive, but for how long? Who knows.

Just thought I'd warn those thinking about it.

It seems ebay dont give a toss about these sellers & are letting them get away with anything they want!!
it's all down to greed, think about it. ebay charge a listing fee, then when an item sells they charge a final value fee. & then if paypal is used they get another cut!! well they certainly have the monopoly on online auctions

I'll tell you what though, I'm not giving up this fight!

I'm going to fight this blockage if I have too excercise some stock holder initiative. Either way I'm not giving up.

I hate to say it, but you are fighting an impossible war. I estimate one of these hacked players sells every couple of seconds on Ebay, so it would be impossible to contact a significant number of potential buyers.

True, but filing complaints to the FTC and having the ear of a congressman... I won't give up.

Hi, I got the same message, but infact its an automated reply and the block only lasts 24hrs. After that you should be able to go back writing and warning people. I made a post here a few days ago telling people to do the same and contact bad sellers customers with the bad news that they have been ripped off too.

I've sent a few messages to other buyers to "inquire" about their experiences with a particular blacklisted seller regarding their hacked players, (if they haven't already discovered). i got a message from the seller who said that he told on me for "spaming" his customers and that he "hopes ebay will not suspend my account". Does ebay really suspend ppl's account for doing that? Or do they just block your messaging for 24 hours as indicated above? I'm courious. How does the seller know? Shouldn't his customers appreciate people letting them know that their players are hacked? I do agree that this is an impossible war, but I do what I can, it makes me feel better.
