This guy claims that all his players are 8GB. When someone questioned why they arrive with only 0.98GB, he explains that there are 2 drives.. one being 0.98GB and the other 7.99GB

I also just bought from this guy before I came across this forum. I haven't received my player yet, but I know it's going to be 1GB. Why doesn't he have any negative feedbacks yet? I will leave him one when I get my player! I've also alerted some of recent buyers, see what happens.

He doesn't have any negative feedback because he probably has made an arrangement with the people he has scammed... like given partial refunds in exchange for positives or neutrals. Notice the "12 ratings mutually withdrawn"? They were most likely negatives.

If your player does turn out to be hacked demand a refund, and send him a link to this forum.

I'm confident that my player is 1GB. He has in fine, fine, fine prints the "capacity" issue. I have full intention to fight this with him. I just signed the petition

Hi, thanks for your inquiry. The "Capacity" part is clearly stated in the item description, the 8GB is for acting as a 8GB USB flash drive for storing data files only, and the actual playable and recordable capacity is 1GB. t can hold 8GB of songs as data, but among them, only the songs locate in the first giga byte of the memory section are playable. Sorry, this is an eBay approved listing, please refuse or return the shipment for a full refund. I apologize for any inconvenience.

The above response is absolute and total bull$hit, in case anyone buys into it in the slightest.

I sent off a few messages to some current and old customers of his, asking if they were aware of the 1GB playable issue. Now hailitele reported me for spamming his customers and says ebay will suspend my account, which I don't care for that much. So in response I gave him the negative feedback he deserved. I was going to wait until I receive the player to do it, but why wait, he already flat out admit i was 1GB? If ebay suspends my account, there's no way for me to "retract" the negative feedback as he hopes. I just wish more people would know about his scheme.

I think this guy is probably lying about the 7gb of flash memory as well. Why would a player have the storage space for 7gb but not be able to play it? I bet it's hacked, so that it looks like you could put 7gb on the "storage" part when it's probably only 500mb or so. He figures no one will find out because who the hell needs 7gb of flash drive storage? So this guy is committing fraud in more ways than one.

Im sorry to say, but, it isn't his fault. You should just read the instructions right, because its stated there. Btw, and 8 GB player isn't that cheap, go figure.

I read the response AlbertaSatellite got and it sounds very incorrect.

Try to copy 8Gb data on player and then back to HDD. (preferably other PC). Data will be corrupt. Memory is hacked. No COMPRESSIONS. lame excuse
