Possible to get partial refund from booted Ebay seller?

I'm still waiting for my hacked "4GB" to come in the mail...meanwhile, it looks like my seller "ckkexpress" won't be on Ebay for much longer - selling 0 items. If I file my dispute AFTER he's been kicked off of Ebay, is there any chance I can still get some of my money back? (I was thinking of a partial refund).

Since Paypal gets involved and usually refunds customers without the seller's permission...I'm thinking it's sitll okay right? Should I file a dispute now, instead of waiting for my player to arrive? Thanks everyone....!

speedypear , if you file now without receiving the player, most likely paypal would require you to wait until you get the player before they start processing your claim.

You can still make a claim via paypal even if the seller's ebay account is closed or suspended, provided there is money still left in the account for paypal to recover. But in most cases, likely the seller would have emptied his account as we speak.

You need to file the complaint based on the fact that he is no longer a registered user (i take it thats the case here) the quicker you file the more likely there will still be money in his paypal account. good luck!

Don't forget you can always dispute the charge with your credit card company (since PayPal uses credit cards) and get a refund via them.
