The official way to get out of a deal is to not pay.

Might help if you posted a link of the ad.

thank you for all your help but to tell you the truth i didnt see these replies before I took action and not payed. Not only that but I sent them three emails stating that I will not because of the underlying reason that their players are fake and that I have seen many complaints about them. This morning when I went into my ebay account I recieved a mutual agreement from them that their was no reason to pay their fore i am free from buying their crapy player. I like to thank everyone who try to inform pple about this trickery that is going on in ebay. and also thanks for all your replies.

Re: i may have bought a fake please help

just checked into my ebay mailbox and this is what the seller sent me

Sorry we will not delivery to your country because the long delivery time and tough Custom clearance policy. We receive too many claims from this countries. We have already mentioned clearly in our bid content. You should check it before bid it. We will issue a full refund to you and please accept the Mutual Agreement to cancel this bid. We will leave good feedback to you.
Please go to this website if you need translation, http://babelfish.altavista.com/

lol yah right. also a link to the player

2.0" TFT 4GB MP4 MP3 PLAYER Wedding Birthday Gift 1U

Also their are sellers who say that their 4 gig 2 inch players are the real thing and I havent seen their names on the blacklist. Should I feel save about buying thier products. Also checked their feedback and their was nothing on about hacked players.

I ask you where you lived, because the seller his reason for not sending it to you was that you live in a country from his "black list". Canada is not in his blacklist, that proofs he is a liar and not trustfull. You made the right decision not to pay for the auction.

I also bought a similar "4 gig" Two inchGlacier-alike from Coolstuff_Online, and it turned out to be a hacked TWO gig unit. When I complained they tried fobbing me off with rubbish about how one of the chips might have fallen out/worked loose. I pointed out that they're already well-known as a seller of hacked players. They offered me a 1/3 refund... which I accepted. They haven't given me the refund, and they don't reply to emails. Ebay is completely uninterested in intervening (surprise surprise!) You got lucky!

they told me that they will refund partiallly but they did not , and did not replied to further mails. I have a dispute on ebay which is a claim from now. this week I will send my documents ebay wants me to prove my claim. I will track to the end to see if ebay is involved in robbery. I advise you to the same thing.

EBay sugested (although I don[t think they were serious) that I might want to inform the police, as 60 days had passed since I bought the ChiPod (which you will understand had been "doctored" so as NOT to reveal the low level of memory).

A few months back, I concluded that the people renting the (large) house next to mine were using it to grow cannabis hydroponically. I tipped-off the local cops - who at first were sceptical, but then got a warrant and raided the house... and hauled away £500k worth of plants. I still had the phone number of a sergeant in Criminal Intelligence. I warned him of criminal activity taking place outside of his jurisdiction... and that PayPay are laundering the proceeds within his jurisdiction. Moneylaundering is taken VERY seriously these days. A couple of years back, I worked in the financial sector, and laundering was BIG news. If you uspect laundering but don't report your suspicions... then by doing so you may be committing a crime. Warning a customer who's being investigated that there IS an investigation under way is also a crime (called "tipping off") The cops have now been informed of a moneylaundering operation.... and the law requires them to investigate. Somehow, I DON'T think that's what the person at EBay intended to happen when they suggested reporting the fraud to the cops...!

Note that "Coolstuff Online" now seems to be trading under several other names as well, including (and this one has just started) "ebox.store". Same crooks... different name!

Good News!
After sending documents showing memory hack to Ebay dispute team,
coolstuf_onlinestore (i-Proshop) now wants to refund fully and want me to withdraw my dispute. Should I accept the offer or wait for an answer from EBay dispute team?

My experience of CoolStuff Online is that they make offers... and then ignore you (and "forget" that they made the officer.) My advice is don't withdraw from the dispute until the promised refund is securely in your bank account. These guys are assuredly NOT to be trusted. They deliberately sold you a hacked player - is that the act of someone who CAN be trusted?

I see pending payment in paypal :D
should I accept or wait for a while for Ebay team's conclusion about dispute?? does it change anything about the seller?

Re: i may have bought a fake player from coolstuff_onlinesto

Wait for payment to have arrived - they can't cancel - then accept the terms of whatever deal you've made with them. You didn't previously make it clear that they actually seemed to be paying up! My experience is that they offered to pay... and then didn't. You seem to have been more fortunate!

Happy End!
I got the every cent I paid back :P
buyers,
open dispute in Ebay, collect documents proving you are right, a report from local technical firm, some photos of item and memory chip&chip ID number.
