Several Vendors selling under multiple names

Regular readers will be aware that I'm in dispute with "Coolstuff_Online", who sold me not one but TWO 2 gig players that had been hacked to look like 4 gig (and advertised as 4 Gig, adorned with "4Gig" stickers etc., etc.) They offered a £15 refund on ONE of them, failed to deliver on their promised refund, ignored emails... the usual story. But, nonetheless, if you can pick up one of their players sufficiently cheaply, they're not bad players. When I'm asked where I got mine, I explain the circumstances and get asked "Can you get one for me at a similar price?" So it came as a surprise that I'm barred by CoolStuff from bidding in their auctions. It came as a BIGGER surprise that I'm also barred from biding in the auctions of several other vendors who have remarkably similar products and near-identical wording in their auctions. We already know that it's standard practice for vendors to slowly accumulate bad feedback, then close down and start up again under a new name. It looks like they're jumping the gun by starting up under second and third names while still selling under the original name! Watch out for "EBoxstore" and "Iproshop"

Re: Several Vendors selling under multiple names

Great post. If you get more names for them post it.

When I was reading your post it reminded me of eBay's feedback system. If a buyer who was sold a hack leaves bad feedback they get bad feedback in return from the bad seller.

And the feedback can say anything at all - if a person doesn't already know about hack players, there is no way for them to know which side of the story is true. Was it the seller selling bad product or a upset seller "not reading the listing properly" (usually the bad sellers favorite).

One big fat giant scam with no ending in sight.
