ADMIN: do something about this !!!!

Today, I saw on the startpage from this nice website the following link to Ebay

8GB 1.8 " MP3 MP4 2ND GENERATION MUSIC PLAYER

How can a website that is mostly dedicated to fight the Scammers on Ebay promote those Scammers?

A new seller that offers non excisting 8GB players is 99.9% a Scammer

Do something about this, or nobody will take this website serious anymore.!!!

Or better, remove the Ebay promotion on the startpage, it does not make any sense anymore.

That sucks...mympxplayer gets paid for this for sure....so I guess they don't want to remove it. ^^

well its not the admin that choose that paricular auction, its ebays own ad that shows random auctions (in this case random mp4 auctions) and 8GB players are real.

Yes, I agree, I don't want to see these ads too. I've tried to put a filter on the ads shown from eBay but it's not the most user friendly.

I've made the change to exclude the "8gb" players from showing up (for the time being). Let me know if you see it again.

We don't get paid for displaying eBay adverts and auctions. It's really there as a 'convenience' for our members in case they are looking for other players or accessories for their players. We do get a small commission for sales from eBay auctions made by our members by the adverts though. This helps pay for two dedicated servers and hosting to host this site and anything we make gets put back into the site to make the site better

Although I think you should get some $ to urself, because your site is great and helps a lot people. :] But this isn't a big problem, because I haven't seen any 8GB players showing up lately (thanks to the filter?)

I've made changes to the eBay listings on the site now. The vertical advertisment listings should now display MPx player accessories and 1GB and 2GB players with the exclusion of any "4GB" and "8GB" players. Hopefully this should work and filter out the hacked players.

Please let me know if you see any.
