Hi All.
In the past month i have purchased 3 MP4 Players on ebay, all from different sellers all stating to be decent memory (eg one was 1gb two Where 4GB) All of these have turned out to be hacked. My 1GB player turned out to be 469MB and the two 4GB players where only 1GB and 2GB.
I am Very angry at this and am taking a stand against them.
What I plan to do is Keep buying these so called 4GB players, if they turn out to be hacked i will claim i haven't received it and get a refund. I am going to do this until i actually get what i am damn paying for! :x
I have been grilled by my father about this idea and he has stated that i will be 'theiving' from them, If they think it is okay to rip people off and scam to earn a few quid then i am sorry but i am not theiving, I am simply giving them a bad taste of their own yukky medicine. Not only will they lose one of their players (which by the way will be tossed into the bin!) but they will lose the money for from the sale also. :P
I just cannot for the life of me work out why ebay and paypal are letting these B
ustards get away with this. I know it's making them money from each sale but surely there is a better way for them to make money than to sit back and watch their loyal members be ripped off left right and centre!
I have sent an email to the SUN and the DailY Star, also one to the Daily Mirror asking them to print a small article with all the info i have submitted to them about what is going on on ebay with these cons. So hopefully there will be a small article on this at some point very soon. It may nt have a very big effect but it would surely give people a warning not to purchase such an item on ebay.
Sorry for the long thread but i also have some info on the shipping methods these crooks are using.
You may have seen or have purchased certain players on ebay from sellers that require you pay shipping insurace (you have no choice but to pay for it). I recently purchased a player from export681129 (6329) and had to pay £2 for shipping insurance.
After waiting quite a while for my player to arrive sent the seller an email asking for the tracking number so i could see what was going on.
the tracking number went like this:
RA123456789HK.
This made it very clear to me that the seller had sent the player WITHOUT insurance!
If you have purchased a player and have had to pay extra for insurance, please ask the seller for a tracking number.
If your tracking number starts with the letter RA, then your seller hasn't insured the package either so demand the extra costs back - like i have.
I know this because if the item was sent with insurance by HongKong Post (which most of these players are) the tracking number will start with the letter VV (eg
VV123456789HK).
It seems to be that these crooks aren't happy enough to rip us off with hacked merchandise to make an extra few quid, they also like to rip you off when it comes to sending the hacked crap too!
Sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere in the forum - i just wanted to let everyone know so sorry if it has!
