I have made a phone call to the police of Hong Kong
Dear all guys,
I have just made a phone call to the Hong Kong Police. The policeman just wanted to push the ball to the other department. He also asked me to complain to ebay. But I argued that the trading indeed happens in Hong Kong. The person selling hacked mp3 do know the mp3 players are hacked. You police can convict them and it depends very much on whether the police of Hong Kong will act on it. After a few minutes of arguing, he finally advised me to file a complaint to an email he gave me. That is cpu-dcd@police.gov.hk. Now I need a list of sellers who are resident in Hong Kong. May be we cannot stop all the scams, but at least we can stop some of them in Hong Kong! Could you all sort off a list of sellers registered in Hong Kong? Many thanks, Jimmy |
Ok, my add.

Re: I have made a phone call to the police of Hong Kong
Your going about this the wrong way, in Hong Kong the police will not act if you got something not as described.
You need to contact consumer advisory groups run by the Hong Kong government - The Counsumer Council - tell them what is going on - they will then proceed on clamping down on these type of sellers and if they find that they are in violation of any Hong Kong laws, they will then pursue a case against the sellers. Calling the police is not going to get anything done, especially if you do not live in Hong Kong yourself. Try contacting Hong Kong's Consumer council, you will probably get further with them. |
Re: I have made a phone call to the police of Hong Kong
So here is some very usefull info you will need to file claims for fraud against these losers who are scaming many innocent people. I will list two web sites that have helped me so far. I will be posting in a thread about what is happening to me and who I have contacted. If you are interested in reading it just let me know and I will direct you to where it is posted. Hope this helps.
http://www.fcc.gov/ (Mind you this is for someone in America) http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php (This may not help all but it has many countries listed.) P.S. If I come across any other info that can be of assistance I will post it. |

https://complaint.ic3.gov/
The IC3's mission is to serve as a vehicle to receive, develop, and refer criminal complaints regarding the rapidly expanding arena of cyber crime. The IC3 aims to give the victims of cyber crime a convenient and easy-to-use reporting mechanism. |
