I would not be buying anything listed anywhere on eBay as 4 GB again. But I would buy from these folks. Provided we communicate before the transaction and I receive in writing that the player is as advertised.

If it arrives other than listed, I will make it clear that there will be no communication other than with my credit card company.

O course, there are models from non-ebay sellers I am more interested in right now. So this is not going to be an issue.

booboo, if you notice in their negitive feedback, most of the time it states that lotsall stated it was lost in customs and just gave them a refund.

but hey, for the price, what i got was worth it, however they have raised their prices since i bought mine. therefor, for the money, i believe there are other sellers that sell better players for the same price. but thats just my opinion.

Also still waiting. Won 7/16, paid the next day for registered airmail, they shipped 7/21. Guess I'll have to wait another 2-3 weeks. They have great communication and are polite, but I really wish they could somehow speed up the time for shipment.

Smells like bull to me. I know about shipping, and a package is automatically insured when sent that way. There's a lot more to it than just "you're package is missing. So sorry!" I think I'm gonna take the refund, but only if they'll include my shipping with that.

Yeh, it does sound like a load of bull. With a tracking number, you should be able to track the package to somewhere at least. Packages do get lost of stolen, but could he tell you where it was lost? What about providing you with the tracking number? Would be interesting if they can provide that information. I don't think they will though as it does sound like he's taking you for a spin.

This was actually TWO items which they said had to be shipped separately so there was no discount for multiple item shipping. There is no way they both could get lost. Yeah, I think I'm done ordering direct from China. I'm probably going to take the Newegg deal on the Meizu M6s, even if they cost me twice as much as these were going to. Good thing I ordered so early as one of them is for my wife's birthday on Sept 2. Plenty of time from Newegg.

i wouldnt worry about the refund, they are real good with that part of it.


as for them taking you for a spin, you can bet you arse they are.

It looks to me as though they are flogging things on Ebay and then going to the wholesaler and buying them with buyers cash. 30 days seems way over the top. I have bought three players and they all came within three weeks. They could be selling on Ebay for a week or so then buying the players.
A few buyers may get lucky if they were among the last buyers before they cashed in and went to the suppliers. But the first in the chain of buyers could have a very long wait.
As for their communication, it may be good, but what better way to scam people than to try and appear whiter than white. Please excuse my cynicism (and my spellin) but quite a lot of this sounds very familiar, this thread almost reads like a scammers handbook.

Yeah, it sounds like these folks are using a dropship program of some kind.

That means I will no longer buy anything from them. It is way, way to easy for buyers to get the shaft in those settings.

I had a decent experience, but seeing the issues they are now having on shipping and actual product leads me to believe they are not in control of their product supply. I've been involved on both sides with dropship programs, and the only one who wins in that type of scheme is the drop shipper...

I also have to agree. They started out great and were very good to me, but seems like they tried to get too big too fast and can't handle it.

Buying from them again is pretty much a moot point since I'm officially a Meizu addict. :wink:

I have a feeling there are other dropship sites that use the same method to get their supplies. I have bought two players from Kaidomain. They are nice players for 44$ each(free postage), with a genuine 2gb. Good solid little 2" players. I think they were called Mckenna. Only problem was the time they took to get here, about 4weeks+. They carry a fairly big catalogue, but nothing over 2GB and they dropship. Some nice novelty items. I suppose if you live close to the suppliers it can work okay as long as you dont leave it too long to pick up the orders from the supplier.

Received my mp4 player today. I had resigned myself to waiting 1-2 more weeks for the player and have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that it took less time than expected - exactly three weeks since the day I won the item. And that's saying something, because usually items I buy from Hong Kong/China take 1-2 weeks to arrive. I'm also very impressed with the build quality of the player as compared to other rockchips. My friend will be happy when I give it to her. So I'll be leaving them positive feedback, but I won't buy from them again. I don't think I'll get lucky again in terms of shipping time. One question, how did you know it was rockchip, I couldn't see that in description (if i missed it sorry)? is it because it plays .avi?

Looks like a good quality player, good price to for a 2.4" screen. Tell me does the actual video playing area of the screen measure 2.4". The ones I bought from Kaidomain were claimed to be 2.4" but were only 2". Maybe there was a man measuring the 2.4" :lol:

That's the same one I got! I would say it is identical to both the Optimus X and the Vista. Also the one at campus111.com. The only difference seems to be the trim on the front. There is another thread around here somewhere where someone posted a shot of an Optimus X or a Vista (can't remember which) and the UI was identical. Maybe there is some minor difference in the FW, but it looks the same.

You are just right! That it plays .avi tags it as a rockchip player.

Somehow at 5AM I seem to have forgotten my player at home. I'll gladly check the size. I assume it's measured the same way as a TV: diagonally?

NOLA MPx Fan just about answered all your questions. To confirm, yes it's similar to the Optimus X/Vista types except for the color and an "mp4 player" tag on the one I have. I know these differences because I have had both before giving the previous one (identical to the Vista) to a friend. The buttons are in the same spot, albeit a different color.

kope007 - I knew it was rockchip even though they didn't mention all the features just by looking at it; plus from experience from the previous Vista type I had had. It actually feels more sturdy than the other one and I'm very impressed with it. Haven't gotten a chance to test out video yet though.

robjones - The screen is 2.4" diagonally and even though I haven't loaded a video on it yet I'm pretty sure it will be fullscreen like the other one.

When you see "no combined shipping", it's usually a sign of someone using a dropshipper. Darned shame. They had a good thing: great service. But all for naught as they don't have control over their supply line.

I suspect that every "customs" issue was really a dropship issue.

While my personal expreience was not bad, I can no longer recommend them, and would in fact advise against purchasing from them at this point.

Maybe they were waiting to get say 100 sales on Ebay to get a lower price with the wholesaler before they got stock in and started sending them to customers.
