Hi,

uk.emarket, could be another possible scammer? Ebayer has now removed his negative to a withdrawn. My 2 arrive in next 7-10 days, so I'll know for sure then.

Initial complaint was 4Gb was infact a 1GB MP3 player.

I found your post by searching for that same seller in this forum, as i bought a player from them a few days ago but i wont receive it just yet.

If you've got yours by now, what was it like, was it ok? is it 4 gb as stated?

I've bought from them and mine turned up as a hacked player. Followed all the guides on here and a 4gb turned out to be a 1gb player.

Although I think saying it's hacked is a bit harsh as when formatted it does show 963mb free. So there's no hacking there.

It's a nice little unit though and coupled with some decent headphones actually sounds ok.

The model is the typical Nano copy in black.

The buyer refunded me almost half of the £17 that I paid for it - which I accepted.

Yes he is.... I bought a '4GB' version to find that it is hacked and has less than 1GB storage. I complained to him and he refunded £10 from the £20 I paid.

it turned out mine was a 1gb hacked to show 4 gb too. i complained and got some money back too and apart from all that, was happy enough as it was ok for the money i spent. then it died 2 or 3 weeks later!

so beware of this uk.emarket seller on ebay!

on a slightly unrelated note, if any of you who bought from this seller could upload the firmware to the appropriate section on this forum or pm me about it, it'd be much appreciated, maybe i can ressurect this now useless piece of plastic and circuits : /

Yes, uk.emarket is another scammer. I bought 3 x 4GB units, all of which ended up being 1GB ones. Also I paid for "insured" / "signed for" service on one of them, but all 3 cam in normal post, with no signature needed.

I placed a dispute on PayPal for all 3, and he replied quickly, offering 1 refund on the difference between 1GB and 4GB and a £2 credit back too, as an apology. Not bad for me, as I spotted it, but what about the other poor people who have not found this site yet?

Thankfully his account has been stopped on e-bay, and shows up as an "unregistered user" now. I just hope he still honours the sales he made before being removed.

Yeh i bought a 4GB from him and turned out to be 1GB, I got £6 back from the £16 i paid. Not bad!
