8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele
I also bought a 8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele, received today and of course found this website and all the info about Hailitele a little too late. After all the crappy stuff that this guy does to people I thought If all i get is a 1 GB MP4 then so be it lesson learnt...... But my biggest problem is that my MP4 wont turn on... and will not connect to my computer which I am assuming is because it wont turn on.
Has anyone else had this problem,or am I doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated.. |
Re: 8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele
First off you need to file a report with E Bay and Pay Pal; if you used them. Second I recommend going to following sites and file reports for fraud against him. Also I would make a report to your bank about this guy committing fraud and selling you fraudulent merchandise; unless you used some other form of payment that did not involve a bank. If you did not use pay pal or E Bay then forget those and take the legal route; most the links I listed will help you do this. I may have to file a law suit against this guy just to let you know how serious this is. I have already filed claims with all of the below links. I would also recommend sending a report into your local consumer protection agency; I would search on msn.com for better results. If you have any other questions about what I did please feel free to send me a pm. I am truly sorry you have also become a victim of this mass fraud. Best of luck to you.
For international consumer reports and fraud reports you can go here: (these links can also be used for the US) http://www.icpen.org/ http://www.ftc.gov/oia/consumer.shtm http://www.icrpc.org/ http://www.econsumer.gov/ http://www.cardserviceinternational....n-services.htm www.consumerfraudreporting.org http://www.fraudwatchinternational.c.../report-fraud/ For mostly US: http://www.fcc.gov/ http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/reporting.php Edit: http://www.ic3.gov/ http://pages.ebay.com.au/securitycentre/howcontact.html http://consumeraction.gov/state.shtml www.consumerinterests.org www.fraud.org/aaft/aaftinfo.htm www.consumer-action.org www.consumerfed.org www.consumerreports.org www.cwt.org www.consumersunion.org www.nacaa.net www.nclnet.org www.consumerfraudreporting.org I could list more for you but I am getting bored of putting up all the links I have, If you do need more then let me know and I will create a full list for you. |
Re: 8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele
So I also got ripped off by hailitele. He gave me the runaround telling me loads of lies so proving that he is a real bad egg. He even offered a full refund if I withdrew my negative feed back.PayPal advised me of the refund but as his account does not have any funds I will not get it.Another con which PayPal will not help sort out.
I complained to ebay and PayPal but both a complete waste of time. In frustration I even made a post on ebay about him and guess what ebay sent me an email telling me they will cancel my account. That is how much they care. So what can one do? Any ideas? |

Oh dear. I've just received a 4GB 'nano' from this guy. I only paid £16 delivered so if it's only 2GB then so what BUT it wont turn on without the charger plugged in either!

Re: 8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele
Not only does it not turn on, but by using the MP3 disk tool I've also discovered it's only 1GB!

Re: 8GB mp4 Player from Hailitele
I too, was suckered in by hailitele.
My husband bought me a sweet looking hot pink MP4 player that claimed to be 8GB. It was only 1GB for music, the rest for storage only. After not even two weeks, my player died. I attempted to contact hailitele and filed a report with eBay, but haven't heard a thing back from either. I am still trying to fix my player. Todd, you got a hacked player as well. And if hailitele claimed it was an iPod Nano, you were lied to on that. The only thing I can suggest for those who have faulty players is to check the current firmware version with the MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool. Make sure you save this information so you can get the proper version that is higher than what you currently have. Then go into the forums and use the Dead Player Recovery Guide. I wasn't smart. I didn't know about firmware. Now I am stuck for the time being. I hope that one of the three firmware versions I have downloaded will revive my dead player. Honestly, I miss the convenience of this thing! |
