Receiving this email on the same day your item arrives by post may explain all the positive feedback!

on receiving this email I plugged in the USB cable to my PC and of course saw 2GB, I was cautious enough to wait a day or two, But I can see how the average noob would just leave positive freedback at this point.

"Dear ripprasternode,

well, they also bribe with additional items to withdraw feedback-which is prob while they have a couple hundred! and yet ebay says this is not against policy when reported! (this happened to me w/the seller hargaretchimee )

sin_of_nature 13th Sep 2007 1:55 pm

Cheeky git is trying to blackmail me to remove my neutral feedback.

"hi,my friend
I'm sorry to open an Unpaid dispute for you on ebay for a mistake ,but i will close off the dispute for you asap once you withdrawal the neutral feedback for me ,ok? coz ebay also count neutral feedback as negitive feedback ,i just wish you can do such a favor to withdrawl it ,once you done it ,pls notice me on ebay resolution central to close off the dispute for you asap ,ok?
Many thx for your cooperation with me !"

Forwarded on his email to Ebay as a dispute of my own. He diserves a negative, but he refunded so I gave him neutral.

sin_of_nature , he probably filed an Unpaid Item Dispute based on you not paying a single cent. There are 2 types of disputes that the seller can chose to open, either unpaid or refund.

Either way, forward whatever evidence (eg paypal receipt) to eBay. Just in case you get a strike. The email you've forwarded to them is good. It's some form of "extortion", and likely the dispute would be closed by ebay soon.

sin_of_nature 14th Sep 2007 1:08 am

Git just left me a negative because I would not back down. On the upside, i just left another link here on my follow up feedback.

Its nonsense, ebay wont close the dispute even with all the email evidence. They say they can remove the negative but cant close the dispute, only the seller can! What rubbish is that!

Ebay better remove the negative.

lattesurf 14th Sep 2007 6:22 pm

sin_of_nature , i wouldn't be too worried about the Unpaid Item Dispute, as the sellers need to open it in order to claim a relisting credit, and as well as the final value credit.

The Unpaid Item Dispute would be closed in approximately 8 days after it is opened, you don't need to do anything, just ignore it.

Aw crap, I just found this website, and I just purchased an mp4 player of this guy, I did research and this name came up as a good seller, and the unit is an ME2 unit so not the old hacked version, or am I just stupid and found myself incorrect answers? I was like, the dude has over 7000 possitives, he can't be one of those hack cheats, mean while I purchased it last thrusday, he says he ships in 48 hours and only takes paypal, but when I ask him when is it being shipped, he tells me he is waiting for a letter from paypal confirming the payment, not I'm not a complete idiot, and I have used paypal before, and I've never heard of this 'letter' thing. Anyway, I sent him a letter like this today.

Quote:

Dear smile_plus168,

I am not happy with you as a seller.
Your auction clearly states the following:
Item will be shipped out in ~ 48 hours (on the weekdays - Monday to Friday) or the next business days (on the weekend) after payment received.

I Paid on the 13th of September, at night, so I would give you until at least Tuesday to send it, but it is now THURSDAY. Your auction clearly states that you only accept payments via paypal, and I am not new to paypal, The fund transfer to your paypal account is instant. If you only accept payments from paypal, and you promise to ship within 48 hours, this letter excuse is obviously false, and I wish for this item to be shipped today, or I will lodge a formal complaint with ebay. Either Post the Item, or refund my full purchase so I can buy from somewhere else.

Thank you, I hope this can be resolved today, as I do not wish to leave negative feedback.

I thought if I bought a latest generation ME2 player, that it wouldn't be hacked from what I saw on a youtube.com review video. Mine ended up being a hacked 4GB player that was really 2GB. So yes, the new ME2's can be hacked also. Just make sure you do the reformat detailed on this site, and if it doesn't have the stated memory capacity, ask for a full or partial refund.......if you ever receive it. :| Goog luck, and P.S. I bought mine from a different seller than you. rogerlam628 also sells hacked ME2's.

lattesurf 19th Sep 2007 7:22 pm

It's pretty weird, just did a search on smile_plus168 items for auction, and turns out that he now only sells USB thumbdrives, seems to have stopped listing players for the moment.

Looked up on his negative feedbacks, and mostly were because of hacked players and slow shipping.

He is probably using drop shipping or ordering when someone wins an auction. Waiting for a letter from paypal? must be a love letter..

Well, after finding out about Hacked Chips in MP3/MP4 Players after I had already bought the player, I finally recieve it today from Hong Kong and Format it down from the 4GB Stated Memory to only 2GB.

Item Link

Oh well, 2GB is an upgrade from my old one.

Hi

I wish I had found this board sooner! I just bought a player from this guy, as seen here:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=290166492094

has anybody had experience with these models? it doesnt appear to be the me2 one, so I wonder if it actually is the advertised capacity...

guess i'll soon find out....

bessie08 19th Feb 2008 5:44 pm

I bought a player from this guy about a month ago and still no sign of it! Sounds like a familiar story here. I just put a dispute request to paypal but will see what happens. I did contact him earlier but he came up with some lame excuse "as some special reason the delivery have been delay for some days". Yeah right!
Well I will just have to wait and see what happens. Good luck to everyone else dealing with him

nzer_4_lyf 19th Feb 2008 10:46 pm

Well actually, everyone in China has just gone back to work today due to the Chinese New Year Celebrations.

dogankacar 21st Feb 2008 8:48 pm

i bought off this guy too. i just recieved it yesterday. He said it was 2gb it turned out to be 1gb. Luckily i only paid $20.
