Ebay scammer you.must.have
Hey everyone,
Just found this great site after looking into modding up my hacked player. I purchased this "8gb" chipod 2nd gen mp4 from the ebay seller you.must.have and reformatted to test for its true capacity. Turns out that hes selling hacked players and it was only 961mb. It was a nice player having the usual video playback, fm radio, voice and radio recording, screw in caps for easy disassembly, . . . etc. Firmware: XID_03H501V1.0 2007-09-13 9.1.52 2005-01-09 I emailed the seller of this fraudulent act and old to contact me if he would like to resolve this as I would proceed to leave - feedback, file claims for a full refund, and report him. I was very careful not to threaten with leaving negative feedback because of ebays 0 tolerance policy on that. After a lot of discussion I worked him down to giving me the player for $10 usd after fighting for a full refund including shipping (which would be almost $20 with tracking and insurance). I didnt leave negative because of what we worked out but I have been letting others who buy from him my story and giving them information on how to check for this scam. |
Thanks for letting us all know about this Knuckles.
Hopefully it will help others from fallling into the same situation as you have. What about leaving 'neutral' feedback for the seller instead of negative? I still think you should leave some feedback to let others know about the hacked players. Maybe say something like "bought 8GB player but only got 1GB instead"? I don't know, but I find that if I'm buying from the seller, I always check out their feedback first. Especially the negative or netural feedback. Just my two cents into this. Hopefully others will pick up on this seller from this site before they buy so they know what to expect. Once again, thanks for sharing this with us. |
