Would this work advice needed

As with most people here I bought a hacked MP4 player so I went through the motions with Ebay and Paypal that has been fun.

I am trying to think of ideas that may help at least slow this down a bit

On I have thought of is to get a group togeather and target known hacked 'MP4' player seller and report every listing they put up as the titel being 'intentionally misleading or deceptive title'

Up until recently I had no clue about MP4 player but what I can gather is these are not mp4 players but they are 'AMV video capable MP3 player'

If Ebay get enough reports surely they would have no chioce but to appear to do something even if the title gets changed and the word MP4 is removed that would result in lower sales and less money for the scammer and less of a lose to the innocent buyer.


As I say this is just an idea I am thinking about and I would love feedback and advice from people with more knowledge than me

I have just been talking to someone else how had an possible idea. She has had some success with paypal helping people who had recieved counterfeit purfume when it comes to the point where paypal say you must return the item at your expense to recieve a refund they point out it is illegal to send counterfeit items through the post, she has had success getting people refunds without returning the item.

As we all know if the MP4 player is returned 2 things happen the buyer is out of pockek the seller will resell it to someone else

Oce aagian these are just ideas and it would be great to get others input and advice

Hi Juggler. Yes it is a good idea, but unfortunately it has been tried before. eBay is not interested in stopping these scammers. They are making too much money off of them.
