Problem with HouseOfDap.com and warranty
My meizu is dead, only two months of use, brought from house of dap...
House of dap claims to have twelve months warranty, but guess what? they dont even answer emails!!!! They closed their forums, and most of the emails sent to them are not even working, their only mail working is, of course, the one in paypal!!! I repeat, do not buy at house of dap, you will waste your money with meizu faulty players, a lot of people, (and also from different sellers, are having problems with their meizu!!!!) DO NOT BUY MEIZU And please, DO NOT BUY AT HOUSE OF DAP! |
My Meizu is good, I have no problems with my M6.

i alway s though of HOD as a respectables seller, never keen on them myself, but always seemed to be bigged up by people, but i have seen that the froum is dead now, same has happened with dapsts too
as for dead meizu, 1 year on here and no problems at all and i know several people wtith meizu with no problems at all, so what has happened to your player i do not know have you been over to www.meizume.com and tried for help there??? try these to see what you can do http://www.meizume.com/faq.php?faq=m6faq#faq_reset |

But i have tried all of this: *hard reset *soft reset *formating from different computers, methods, special utilities *low format *DFU tools posted on meizume *Upgrading & downgrading *drained the battery Nothing worked! Also, the house of dap support ticket is gone, forums, mails... Can i still go to the bank and try a chargeback? |
go for charge back, it can only be a good thing, not sure how it works as its been a while, but it would do no harm to try and ask if it is possible. I think you have good grounds

looks like they are out of the business now after doing such as many scams.
Meizu also, doesnt reply any emails implied to warranty or service. If you buy meizu you waste your money. Buy anything else, and if you want a meizu i can recommend wallgreens since they cant run and scam people because they are in the USA and are a stablished store. But im sure you will have problems with your meizu. MEIZU = SCAM |
no, meizu does not = scam at all, remember when you buy these you are buying a Chinese product and the warranty does not apply, its up to your seller to offer the warranty
meizu players are very very very good i have has 2 and they are still working do not blame meizu, blame your seller for not telling you the truth about warranty, ANY product can have problems even the super IPod have dead players and are they a scam!!! like i said, players meant for the Chinese market have no warranty other than those given by your seller |

With players like this, the warranty is most likely to be with the SELLER instead as they probably don't have a local presence in your country. They are imported by the importer so the warranty should be the resposibility of the importer which is most likely the seller. There should be Consumer Fair Trading or protection laws which says that they are obliged to supply a the warranty. If you really want to get down to it, you can probably take them to court over it but it may be more difficult with an internet based business. I take on everyone's feedback and after numerous emails to my contact at HouseofDap and no reply, I have decided to REMOVE HouseofDap from our forum listing. |

Im the store owner of HOUSEofDAP First i want to apologize balzac308 for any inconvenience caused with his player, and i want to explain what has happened and why where unable to respond. Beginning of last year we had some major problems with our host,the store was down for few days and emails where missing. I later decided to close the shop for several reasons, one was the Beijing Olympics which delayed shipping time, deteriorated our services made it very difficult to run our shop. The good news is that the store is back online and we had time to improve it: 1. The store has moved to new reliable host. 2. Store is running on new software to give you a safer and better shopping experience. 3. Extended network of suppliers helps us to offer a wider selection at lower prices. 4. Full time service staff will answer any inquiry from our forum members and customers, but also here at mympxplayer. 5. We have opened new media channels to promote all the new players coming out. We are now on Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. We will of course serve our old customers with warranty or any other issues, please contact us through our store. We are still updating the store with new products so keep an eye on us! I hope we can win back your loyalty and we promise to be the no.1 MP4 store online. UPDATE: I have sent private message to user balzac308 to help him solve this issue, but still no reply. i think due to your site and things going wrong this OP had real cause to worry and complain, you disappeared and they felt lost and alone, if it were me this happened to i would be here saying the same thing good to see you all back up and running again |

I hope you can see my previous concerns and reasons. We previously had a HouseofDAP section of the forum awhile ago. The problem was complaints started coming in and then you just 'disappeared' all of a suddent. I know previously you used to be an active member in the forum as well, then suddenly no reply from messages nor emails so I was getting concerned. I had the forum opened for as long as possible, but didn't want to put our members at risk by having the forum up for HouseofDAP when there were complains from members coming in and no communication from you. I didn't want it to come back to us because they saw HouseofDAP from our site. We still remain independent and there is no one company support or backing us up financially. We wanted to make good recommendations to our members but at that time, we couldn't recommend HoD anymore given the reasons above. |

I think once users read the replies, they can judge for themselves what they think. The user has stated their case and you have stated yours. People are entitled to their opinions we encourage that. As long as your explanation is there, I'm sure members will read more about it and know that you have done your part and if the original poster didn't reply, then they can make their judgement from that.
