I bought a 16GB 2.8 inch touch player from him on ebay. When I received the player, it read in windows as a 15.1 GB, the player said I had ??000/7000 megs availible.. and upon opening up the case, and researching the memory chip, I discover an 8Gig memory chip...

MP3 tools gives a memory size of 4gigs only so I cant reformat it yet until I find a better way...

Also, I guess I should have known it would be hacked when I really looked at the name, and his email was made just for that ebay name... Oh well, looks like I get to be added to the scam victim list :/

Note, right after I bought my player, it seems his account no longer has any Items for sale... figures!

Due to the cost of the player, Im not even gonna bother trying to get my money back, as an 8 gig would have been kinda worth what I paid I suppose...


UPDATE: Well, after long thinking, i decided to file a dispute with Ebay and they sent me to paypal to file it. So, I wrote down all my proof that I was scammed, and in less the 24 hours, I received a partial refund of 20 dollars, and get to keep my player still. Works for me! Now to spend some time fixing this player so it won't break on me..

wow i bought also from ebaywei . he/she emailed me saying i can mail it back to him/her and he will send me new one.

from the sounds of it i think i will just ask for partial refund.

how did you get it so fast? I filed complaint with ebay/paypal for 3 days now.

I just told paypal everything I knew about the player, including the research I did on the memory chip in it. When i made the complaint, I also checked the box for a partial refund and put in that 20 bucks would make me happy with the deal.
