*Donate* and *Win* a new model MP4 Player

Donate and Win!

This New Model MP4 Player could be yours.

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8302/player1al7.jpg

As my way of saying thank you, all members who generously make a PayPal donation of more than USD$5 to MyMPxPlayers.org before December 1st 2006 will be entered into a draw and one of you will receive this great little player.

Featuring a 2.0 inch 260K TFT Screen it's 208x176 resolution offers stunning brightness and clarity with crisp sharp colors.
Powered by the new CTW500 chipset it supports true High Speed USB 2.0 connectivity giving fast file transfer.

The much improved version 9.0.43 firmware offers file browsing and every aspect of the user interface has been nicely themed.

http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/1936/3aa0.jpg http://img216.imageshack.us/img216/7656/4xr8.jpg

1GB of Samsung Memory, a built in speaker and at last a Long Life Replacable Battery that gives around 10 hours non stop music play with power saving features enabled. You could buy a second Nokia BL-4C Battery and double that.

http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/6177/player2pu5.jpg

This beauty plays AMV format video 208x176 at 10fps but I found 208x144 at 12fps gives a better aspect ratio for wide screen movies and smoother video.

This really is a top little player, both the build quality and it's features makes it stand out from the rest.

So thank you to all of you who support this site through PayPal and thank you to Binh for providing such a great forum for all us MPxPlayer owners.

Package includes:
1 x 1G PLAYER
1 x Battery ( not nokia battery )
1 x User Manual
1 x CD with Drive
1 x Stereo Headphone

Thank you for wanting to donate.

I am not sure what payment method you can use in the Philippines..... I know that PayPal is the most common one. I will check to see if there are any other online payment facilities available so you can donate and help the site.

Re: *Donate* and *Win* a new model MP4 Player

Hi Admin,

I would like to ask if this player supports avi or wmv format video? or still needs to be converter to AMV format? I ask because rockchip base player support this format. and avi and wmv compresses better. Another question. Is this CTW500 chipset is the same as Action 2097 chipset? Coz i have seen it from one site written like this CTW500(Actions 2097).

thanks :o

tadad1 29th Oct 2006 1:58 pm

identity, The player still uses AMV video, I have seen the chip refered to as an Actions CTW500 and the chip is marked CTW500 but there is no reference to it on the Actions Semiconductor web site so I am not sure if it is the same chip as the ATJ2097 however the firmware is ACT2097_S725.

I have this player.
But i've a "stupid" problem with it:
For this player, i can read in the manual that there is a button named "REC/A-B".
This button is needed to select easyly the replay mode (normal, random, etc...)

I can't find it !
If anybody can say me where it is ...

admin 13th Nov 2006 11:13 pm

Remarf,

Please create a new post for this for your problem.

Hi all,

Remember this draw finishes on the 1st of December!

So if you can donate to a good cause - helping this site with it's hosting fund, then please consider donating at least USD$5 and you could well be rewarded with a brand new MP4 player! :)

Re: *Donate* and *Win* a new model MP4 Player

this player is better or identical to uxcell's glacier??
(in the specifications at uxcell it says:
"128x96 pixels 2" LCD TFT 65K Color display"

this is 256k right?

Lejigabou 18th Nov 2006 9:37 am

Re: *Donate* and *Win* a new model MP4 Player

Hi,

Let's wait Admin confirmation...
But according to me and my tests with it, Uxell description is not exact.
Admin tell us the truth in the first page of the review/topic :

Featuring a 2.0 inch 260K TFT Screen it's 208x176 resolution offers stunning brightness and clarity with crisp sharp colors.

I've just finish some tests this afternoon to convert divx in to AMV.
Full screen is 208x176 and for some 19/9 films I use 208x120 to avoid deformations.
Conpare to the nano clone the difference between Tft and Lcd Hurts !
I belive that it has a 260K color display.
Nano clone may have only Lcd 65K color display.
I am very happy of my item.

tadad1 18th Nov 2006 11:57 pm

condensercl, I think that is a typo both players are definatly 208x176 resolution.

dritske 19th Nov 2006 2:16 pm

Re: *Donate* and *Win* a new model MP4 Player

I'm a bit confused with the type of nokia battery you can use for this player.
Uxcell says that it's the same type as nokia 3650. That would be bl-5c.
But in the description here I read it's bl-4c.
Can anyone confirm which is the right type (as far as I know 5c is 1mm thicker than 4c)

Thanks!!!

tadad1 19th Nov 2006 3:30 pm

dritske, Don't know about the Uxcell player but just checked this players battery and it is marked BL-4C.

Lejigabou 19th Nov 2006 3:45 pm

Hi,
Mine (coming from eBay) use a BL-4C battery.
I am 99% sure Uxcell and ours are the same.
I know only one manufacturing plant in HongKong for this model.
Its all come from it.
Unless if it's an OEM order it may have same features, no ?
Regards,
Lejigabou.

admin 20th Nov 2006 12:36 am

I will get Uxcell to reply to your questions about the battery.

Thank you Jack Stroud and Louie for your donations to the site.
