Yes, unfortunately it's too late to enter. I've had to close the competition off as it had been extended two months already.

There will be many other competitions coming up shortly as well which you are more than welcome to enter in to. Keep an eye out for them.

I used to be a member of this site in 2006 and I finally returned today to make a comment. What made me go away was a "ranks competition" that I took part in and put a lot of effort into and then no result was ever announced. The contest started in July 2006, and I came back in July 2007 and nothing really happened. Now its 2009 and that contest still hasn't ended so I'd really hope that someone is announced as a winner from this contest because despite my efforts in years prior, there definitely was no "reward". Thank you!

Note: I'm just not here to complain. I really support the MyMpxPlayer forum and my 150+ posts helping people will show that.

I'm very sorry about the delay of this.
There has been some issues with the server in the background (some of you may have even noticed some error messages on the site this last week) as well as working on transferring over to the new site as well.

I have also been testing out he polling software as well.

I haven't forgotton about this.

hey, just checking in after a few months and there doesn't seem to be any activity in this... i'm sorry to hear that bsaylors and i too hope that the fate of this competition doesn't become like yours.

It's still on the list of things to do unfortunately. Sorry about the delay. I've been fighting the hackers from hacking this site and also working on the new site for MyMPxPlayer.org as well that unfortunately this competition has been pushed aside.

One more thing, I've also been testing a software package which will try to make this competition as honest as possible.

Hopefully I'll get the voting for this competition up in the next week or two.

^ Don't even bother mate, its been almost a whole year since the competition even started. It just gets pushed back and back, I just reckon it was a ploy to get more members. And unfortunately this competition turned out to be just another mpx competition, forgotten with no winners. Also a tip to any future members, don't even bother.

I understand your concern.
No, it wasn't a ploy to get more members. We don't benefit anyway from more members as member registrations are free and everything else on this site is FREE.

The S:Flo does exist and MP4Nation has asked me when the competition was finishing. It's actually a number of reasons and me not having the time was one of them.

To start, as you probably know, the old site MyMPxPlayer.org has been consistently been hacked. It was at one stage hacked so bad the site couldn't even load! I've spent way too much time on fixing it that I got fed up with it and decided to move the site to a new system and upgraded everything. So I've spent a lot of time and a lot of money on upgrading the site. Not to mention getting a new server for the site.

Now that that is in place, I've had to spend time locking down the old site so it doesn't get hacked again either.

I've also spent some time and money testing software to try to stop people from double voting etc as well.

So yeh, unfortunately on top of all that, I've had to hold down a full time job and look after two kids as well.

I will be putting this competition live soon.

Unfortunately I have been unable to contact the the sponsor of that prize so can not really offer this as I can't get a hold of the sponsor for the prize..... We do have another sponsor for another computer, so hopefully they will carry ahead with their prize offereing.... That's the tricky thing about internet sponsorships is that it's so hard to 'lock' someone into a contract for sponsorship over the internet....

As expected, a total sham. Instead of continuing the competition with a new prize, it has been canceled (like many before) and replaced with another competition; which I presume will have the same fate. Admin, this is very disappointing and poorly handled mate.

I completely understand what you mean, but unfortunately I've had no communication back at all from the sponsor of the prize (MP4Nation) and can't get a hold of him so I can't give this prize out when the sponsor hasn't provided the prize to me and I don't have the player at hand.

Unfortunately with the recession and with moving to this new site, I've had a major drop in sponsorship and massive drop in money earned from Adverts on this site and the old site! I'm also paying for two dedicated servers as well. I will look into what funds I have left and if I have enough will pay for the prize myself but probably not get it from MP4Nation as I've had no reply from them and don't want to put members astray.....

just to note binh, the s:flo is no longer in production anyway, its was stopped due to problems with the player

you can of course get other re-brands of the player (teclast T50) but depending where you get it from it may have different features

if u were to get one, get one with tv out and fm tranmitter (T50+) as the T50/s:flo had problems with the touch screen and audio imbalance
