khang, connect your player to the computer and then right click on My Computer and select Properties. Go to the Hardware tab and select Device Manager. Look under the heading Disk Drives and see if there is an entry for GENERIC USB DISK DEVICE, if it is there right click on it and select uninstall and uninstall the driver. Then choose Action from the toolbar menu and select scan for new devices. If Windows finds your player it will install the drivers for it and then you may be able to connect to it.

If you are unable to access it then the only thing I can think of is to reset the chip as we discussed.

Khang, even though you have the backup firmware on your cd...which you said doesn't work... try downloading this 3.2.13 firmware from s1mp3.org and see if you can at least get it out of recover state. Then you'll at least be able to save files on your player.
Here's the link:
http://s1mp3.org/files/firmware/fw_f...orig_3.2.13.7z

...if you get it out of recover state, then try upgrading with any of the backup firmware files you said you found on your on cd.

Just in case you're having trouble extracting the 7z firmware file from s1mp3.org, you'll need to download and install the 7zip file extractor from the tools section of this website.

If the firmware I gave you the link to doesn't bring it out of recover state, try other 3.2.13 versions from s1mp3.org or even 3.2.16 should do.

Let us know if you need more help.

Khang, here's another suggestion that may or may not work.

Since your player shows the loading hourglass screen, your player still may have the firmware on it (though it may be corrupted).

Try reinstalling the mp3 utilities...this helped me once. My upgrade tool was acting crazy but reinstalling it fixed the problem.

If your mp3 utilties cd has many .fw and .bin files, try using the s1res utility to see pictures of the firmwares and recognize the firmware that was in your player originally.

If that doesn't help, then try extracting the corrupted firmware that is on your player now and use the repair feature of the s1fwx tool.

Then after reinstalling the upgrade tool, try recovering with the repaired firmware.

ash_mp4, good to hear you had some luck with your player. If you are able to outline the steps you took to recover your player it may help others do the same. Thanks for your post.

I did all of the work you adviced, but it's still dead!

I tried all of my FM files, but there isn't any file with the logo in the same with my original logo!

I tried to check my player with CheckUdisk but it is not recognized!

Arish, When your player had been died, can it be recognied in Win Explorer ??? (with its driver letter)

My player is recognized as a ADFU driver, but there is not its driver letter in Win Explorer!

I think...no way!!
