Khang, if it's recognized as an ADFU, then you won't see the disk driver in Win Explorer.

You'll need to get it out of recover state before you can access your player's flash disk...but you said you're having trouble with the upgrade tool. Try upgrading in another computer if you can and see if you get the same problem while upgrading.

Maybe your seller just handed you a random mp3 utilities cd so....like you said...the firmware on it is not the original firmware that your player came with.

I am afraid you're gonna have to fish for the correct firmware on the internet.

Good luck with that

Hello there tadad. Thankyou for response. I just use basic steps to recover player: I follow the guide on how I have to short chip from here:
http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic...=asc&&start=30

Then i match my board with fw & download 3.5.35 fw on s1mp3.org & upgrade my player inside upgrade tool. Then my player is good to go.

Thankyou to all once again.

hey, arish!
Will my player be out of the recover state if I find the right firmware??

I will open it and get the board ID, maybe it's easier in looking for the right firmware!

I think it's the only method to take my player out of the recover state!

Could you help me find the right firmware if I can get the board ID of my player!!!???

Sorry if I bother you!

Khang, I'll try my best to find the correct firmware for you if you get the board id. Hopefully the list of firmwares on s1mp3.org matches your board.

If you're still having trouble with the upgrading tool, then I think you're gonna have to short circuit your player. You said it gave you a message like "read information failed." Most likely, the upgrade tool is having trouble reading the firmware that is currently in your player because it may be corrupted...so it comes up in recover state, tries to recover it, and causes further errors.
When you open your player to get the board id, short circuit it and then try to upgrade with any of the firmwares that you have tried previously. Try with one that didn't give you the message "unknown flash type." This should get it out of recover mode and you should see the disk driver icon in win explorer.
Look here if you need a guide to short the pins:
http://mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php...=asc&&start=30

Once you get the upgrade tool to work fine, then proceed on to get the correct firmware and upgrade with it to completely fix your player.
Keep trying to contact your seller though.
Post the board ID and I'll see what I can do.

Hi, Arish!
I bought my player in my country (Vietnam), but I have been in Korea, so... although it is still under warranty!

I am trying to contact to the seller for getting the board ID or FULL FIRMWARE!

Please keep in touch with me!
Thanks a lot, Arish!

Hi every one,, I'm newbie here, hope you show me the right way to use this incredible forum for good in order to let anyone who's in need for such info,,
I'd like to add something i passed with by trial on my Astra 512 MP3 Player: ATJ2085 chip to force the system to accept my dead mp3 as a flashdisk,, it is to short the Capacitor which located near the SAMSUNG flash chip while connected into the USB,, I tried this way many times and it works to force the MP3 to enter ADFU mode.
here's a small pic showing the capacitor location,,

P.s:
I don't recommend anyone to experiment this trick as it may harm the rest of your beloved MP3's :? .
take care, and thnx in advance.
