Best to start a new thread with your post to keep it seperate from this one. |
Hey Binh,
Sorry if I was criticizing mp3/mp4 players a bit too harshly but it's just that I got so mad with my 512 MB dead player...but I do realize it was my own fault for screwing with the firmware. My new 2 Giga bit player (exactly the same as my old one but with different firmware) works perfectly even though it has less memory (256 MB) and hasn't given me any trouble so far. I agree that these players are a bargain to begin with and that they have more features than ipod, etc... But the key to get a good deal is to buy from an honest and responsible seller! :D |

this is my player (F11-01GD) 1GB i put in 3.5.35 FULL firmware to USB MASS http://www.mytempdir.com/695819 then i put this firmware http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...ile&file_id=80 and now i have inverted screen and everyhing is backwards with 2 black lines and im looking for F11-01GD 3.5.35 Firmware not 3.5 :) thanks |
Hey Sherwinnie, have you tried all the firmwares from this website...if you do try, don't forget to backup your firmware even though it's inverted unless of course if it is exactly the same as the one from this site. At least your player's not completely dead! Do all the functions work properly?
What do you mean by "USB MASS"? Do you mean that you saved the firmware as a file on your player? If yes, than that shouldn't have to do anything with the firmware uploaded on the player. I may be wrong, but if your orginal firmware was 3.5 something, then upgrading to something other than 3.5... will kill your player. That's what happended to mine when I tried to upgrade my 3.2.16 player with 3.5... firmwares. Be very careful with the firmware you upgrade with..if you do. Trust me...you don't wanna go open up your dead player and short circuit and stuff...it's a hassle. Hope this helps... :) |
@arish_06 its fully functionable and im able to drag and drop files into it lol. my player isnt dead or anything now lol because first of all i upgraded the wrong firmware for a mod idunno i didnt read anything about backing up so i never did :( the seller wants my player back but i cant give it back i already took it apart so many times and i cracked the back and melted the bottom of it :) haha so it took me 2 weeks to get it working as is right now i didnt like the flower background first of all in the begining haha so im waiting for someone to upload the same player with the correct version and then ill be happy and post it up everywhere :)

Sherwinnie, if you really want to get your player to display proper colors, you can try the s1res utility from this website (page 2 of tool downloads).
It will be a long process though...first download the s1res utility, run it, then click file, open. Locate the copy of the firmware (the one you say is inverted) and click open...or if you don't have a copy saved, extract it from your player or download it from this site again. Now you should see a list on the left. Click on "END.RES", then "icon". You should now see a list of pictures describing your ending sequence. If the colors of the pictures are inverted, click "invert" on the top right corner of the s1res window. This should correct the color. You'll have to do this for each single picture, including pictures in "LOGO.RES" and "U130.RES." NOTE: if you the pictures do not appear inverted in the s1res utility, then there's nothing wrong with the firmware...it's probably that your player can't process the firmware correctly (i.e. it is not the proper firmware for your player). If so, I suggest that you leave your player like that unless you're 100% sure you found a correct firmware. By the way, you said your original firmware had a flower starting sequence...my dead player that looks the same as yours also had a flower sequence. Do you know if your original was 3.2.16? And also, can you further describe your original firmware? If our players have the same chip, then maybe the inverted firmware you're talking about can bring my dead player back to life. Hope my suggestions for the s1res utility helps... :D |
