Default My mp4 player is dead!

Nowadays, I have a problem with my Mp4 Player!
Some mp3 file is noted "format error" when played!
So, i formated my Mp4 player but it's still in problem!
Yesteday, I downloaded a new upgrading firmware and I upgraded my Mp4 player....but...after upgrading , it only appear a screen with sand glass (very long time...i has been waiting but I think....4ever)....
When I connect it to PC via USB port, is 't still recognized but Win explorer can't explore it...(no item)...
I try to upgrade again, but the Upgrading tools program notice that "It's on recover state...."

It's iMax, Wilson Co,Lmt, series ACST16D-13
its firmware is WS-3.3.13
I think maybe I upgraded with a wrong firmware.
Please help me!...

Hey, Khang
Do you have your original firmware backed up?
If yes, than try using it as a recovery firmware (you said that the upgrade utility comes up in recover state so just recover it with your original or any other compatible firmware).

By the way, is there something that caused the format error that you're describing...maybe unplugging it during file transfer, turning main switch off during interface with PC through usb, etc.

Did you try formatting with the disk tool in your mp4 player utilities? Also try the low format option in this utility.

Let me know if you still can't fix it.

Yes, I tried formatting but ....

I was read from our forum that It need to be disassembled and the chip should be reseted!

But I'm not a careful man, so I'm scared of my operation!

Now, my Mp4 player is still in dead screen with a sand glass!

Please help me in details, thanks arish_06!

khang,

the fact that your player is showing any signs of life is a good thing. Please give us more information on your player, what features does it have, is it 512mb, 1GB, 2GB, can you upload a picture of it. These are all things that will help people find some answers for you. It might also be a good idea to start a new post rather than add to another.

khang, have seen your picture, try sending a Personal Message to "admin" as I think Binh sells players that look like yours. I can find no information on a firmware ws-3.3.13 however there is a firmware ws-3.2.13.

I'm sorry tadad1!

My original firmware is WS-3.2.13, not 3.3.13!
My player is still in the screen which you can see in the picture uploaded!

What should I do now!!!??? Do I have to disassemble it and reset the chip!?
Please give me a solution!
