Dead 1.2 MP3 Player

Hi everybody. First of all, excuse me for my bad English :(

I bought an 1.2 inch Mp3 Player (chip Samsung) 1 GB by eBay. The player didn't work well with the radio. I could only do the "scan", without memorizing any station. I contacted the eBayer, and he said me I just had to upgrade the firmware, and so did I, using the url he gave me.

Well, the player was dead. I cannot turn it on, and the pc (os Win XP) doesn't recognize it anymore (before I upgrated the firmware, the player worked well. Just the radio didn't go, but my pc could connect with it). What can I do?

This is my player:

Please help me

If you can, take it back to who you bought it from and tell them to give you another one. He shouldn't have suggested to you to update the firmware in the first place.

To set your own radio stations, you need to just press and hold down on the [play/pause] button for a few seconds. It works for my players, u can try that.

If your player is dead, then you will have to look at this post * here *and open up your player to recover it back again. This process takes abit of time though so if you can, get a return from the buyer.

thanks for your advice admin

maybe i could give it back to whom I bought, but you know eBay, it's not always so easy...

I could try to follow that procedure. do you think my player will work well after doing so?
I mean, it's just a way to make it work or should it work better than before?

P.S. New Zealand must be a fantastic place. I will go there a day...

giodibe,

The procedure is to recover your player so it's in a working state, it won't improve it. Generally, if you used a wrong firmware for your player, it's quite hard to bring it back to it's original state. Good luck with the procedure.

Yes, NZ is very nice, I can also say the same for Italy, it looks like a fantastic place! Would love to visit one day too.
