Default [solved] ...disk error?

I've been using my mp4 player for a good while now, but a few weeks back it died on me, kind of. The player turns on perfectly, and I can navigate the menus, but I cannot access any of my files. Whenever I try to, it gives me a message, "Disk Error!", for some strange reason. I took it to work once and I believe that I forgot to select "safely disconnect hardware" when I unplugged it. Of course such things are random, as I'd forgotten to do that many other times with no repercussions. Here's some pictures:

My lovely mp4 player, just 60 euro with shipping from an ebay seller.

The main menu, highlighting the music option.

The disk error message.

If anyone has any idea of what to do, please help me out I have not tried to install new firmware nor mess with the OS of the player, just so you know. Thanks in advance!

Kosh, I would not worry about the firmware at the moment. If the player is recognised by windows right click on the player and select Properties then Tools tab and run an error check selecting all options. If this does not fix the problem use MP3 Player Disk Tool to re-format the player you can download MP3 Player Utilities 3.68 here http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...file&file_id=2

You may also want to drop a personel message to fizzle05, he is a knowledgeable guy has a player the same as yours.

Let us know how you go.

Aha! Thank you very much, that seems to have fixed it. Just tried it and it worked perfectly fine as always

Kosh, good to hear that your player is up and running again. If you get a chance can you edit your original post and put (Solved) at the begining of the title.

Cheers

Hey Kosh, I have the same player as yours and I am looking for the firmware.

By any chance, can you extract your firmware and upload it on this site or maybe pm me.

I have a 3.2.16 512MB player exactly the same as yours and I've already tried various 3.2.16 firmwares but none seem to work. Maybe your firmware can help me fix mine.

Thanks
