i installed incorrect firmware and it doesnt turn on anymore, what to do?

phantomddl, Do you know what version your firmware was?
Also do you have a backup?

It was 3.2.16 Wilson. Co.
i disassembled and found the board id: ATJ2085
the player doesnt turn on at all
No Backup(dont know how to back-up)

phantomddl, I have posted some info on the steps I used to recover a dead player here:

I suggest you download a few items from the Download Section under Tools and Firmware as well.

Get a selection of firmware, all the 3.2.16 versions you can find and there are a couple of full firmware versions there as well, they may be different versions but that is ok.

Get a program called s1res, you can use this to open the firmware files and see the images inside. Look for ones where most of the images used in menus etc are similar to yours.

As you do not have a backup trying to finding the right firmware is going to be trial and error. You may have to repeat the process a few times till you find the right one.

It has instructions on how to short the pins to try to recover your player.

It's going good, i can install firmwares now, but i can't find the right one.
CPU: ATJ2085W
Board id:HY27UG084G2M TPCB 620A
ATJ2085v2 doesnt work(that firmware killed my mp4 player :P)
does any one has my firmware version?

it shows blue screen now, i have searched all the web but i couldnt find the correct firmware. i must repair it somehow :(

thanx but i tried all, i also need orginal firmwares, dump firmwares dont work. i think i have to buy a new one :(

phantomddl, check you CD that came with the player it may contain the firmware. Do a search of it for .bin or .fw files.

phantomddl, I found this one which has the same menu images and music player as yours and someone else has used it to recover their player.

it says "flash no responding" i think i should re-install the software, i will do that. and let you know if it works, by the way it writes "dump" i dont think it will work but i will try

You are right no firmare there, don't even appear to be any MP4 players they all seem to be MP3 players.
What do you mean when you say "by the way it writes "dump""

i meant it for the link u gave me, it has dump.bin in it, as far as i know dump files wont work in recovery mode. anyways i ordered the same mp4 player from ebay now :)
thanx for your help, i will try to make my mpxplayer alive, somehow.

thanx but it says "invalid firmware upgrade file" it always gives the same error for dump.bin files
