phantomddl, Do you know what version your firmware was?
Also do you have a backup?

phantomddl, I have posted some info on the steps I used to recover a dead player here:

http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic...r=asc&&start=0

I suggest you download a few items from the Download Section under Tools and Firmware as well.

Get a selection of firmware, all the 3.2.16 versions you can find and there are a couple of full firmware versions there as well, they may be different versions but that is ok.

Get a program called s1res, you can use this to open the firmware files and see the images inside. Look for ones where most of the images used in menus etc are similar to yours.

As you do not have a backup trying to finding the right firmware is going to be trial and error. You may have to repeat the process a few times till you find the right one.

Also have a look at this post too: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic...=asc&&start=30

It has instructions on how to short the pins to try to recover your player.

Good luck and let us know if that works or not.

Have a look here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...gory&cat_id=15

People have kindly uploaded the firmware of their ipod look-a-like nanos there. See if you can find the one suitable for your player....

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
