Default "invalid upgrade firmware file"

Hi,
after upgrading my firmware (3.5.37v2.1b FM.fw) my player went DEAD. After switching it on, i can see only a black screen and nothing else. What is strange is that i get this message "invalid upgrade firmware file" everytime i want to upgrade my firmware again. I hope someone can help me out

regards
AoD

AoD, What was your original firmware version and are you trying to upgrade with a backup or just random firmware?

AoD, Will your player accept 3.5.37v2.1b FM.fw again as this is a full firmware and generally works well to recover a player.

tadad1, unfortunately i get this message each time i try to upgrade my player, even with 3.5.37v2.1b FM.fw. I think the only way to do it is to disassemble the player, and try the trick with screwdrivers.

Ok, Scroll down this post and I have written a walkthrough of how I recovered a player by shorting the main chip.

http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic...r=asc&&start=0

I suggest once your player is recognised as a ADFU device you reflash with 3.5.37v2.1b FM.fw
Which should partially recover it, it will still have a black screen. Do not disconnect it leave it for about 30sec then update it again with the one above. If it will not update leave it connected switch it off and then back on wait a few seconds then try again.

It should then reboot and be ok.
