Default Screen blank with only backlights on

My player went blank after upgrading firmware to 3.5.35.

How can I fix this problem?

yhap2003,
What version was your original firmware, and did you make a backup before you upgraded to 3.5.35?

When you connect your player into your PC is it recognised?

First it would not recognized it because a wire was lose in the USB wire. But I fixed that, I think its was somthing like 2006-3-15 for the fireware. That's all I can remember seeing.

It's an mp4 digital player like this one:

yhap2003,
Not knowing your original firmware is going to be tough.

What has happened is the firmware you upgraded to is not compatible with your player which is why it is not working. To fix it you need to find the right firmware for you player.

I suggest you download as many firmware as you can find and using s1res (you will find it in the Download\Tools section) open them and look at the images they contain for menus, backgrounds, boot screens etc. Ones you find that look the same put aside ones that look different delete.

Next you are going to have to try the various firmware you have that match image wise, but there is a good chance things are going to get worse before they get better as your player may end up not being recognised by your PC in which case you will have to follow the dead player recovery process.

I have outlined how I have done this in a previous post along with some links to firmware that may be helpful.

Sorry but there is not a lot more advise I can give you, Good luck.

Ok, I found my fireware. But when I try to upgrade the fireware using MP3 Player fireware upgrading tool, it give me the message saying "Unknown Flash Error!"

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware to version 2006-03-13 ACT_V3.5.35 but I'm getting "invalid upgrade firmware file".

yhap2003, Either you are trying to update with the wrong firmware or you are using firmware dumps which are not full firmware files.

Try this one it is a full firmware that I have used to recover in the past:

http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...6364da93f003b1

If it installs it wil not fully recover your player but you should be able to then apply one of the ones you have been trying.

I believe, I have the same player as you.
My player was shipped with firmware 3.5.37, has a size of 1GB.

I can send you my firmware, if you like!
