cielo009, At the moment it is not possible to extract 9.0.48 & 9.0.50 firmware so you could not have backed up anyway.
Your problem is going to be trying to find a firmware suitable for your player. Because they can not be extracted there are only a handful of factory versions available on the web. Forget trying 3.5.XX series firmware they are not going to work. You could try 9.0.43, 9.0.48, or 9.0.50 that suit your screen size. http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html If none work you will have to wait till the updated tools for extracting 9.0.XX firmware are released then there will be a lot more for download. |

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
I have a 1.8" ipod looking 4gb mp4 player, the original firmware # is 9.0.48, I wanted more games so i decided to upgrade it, when I use the 9.0.50 firmwares, only gave me a black screen, when I use the 9.0.48 from this site only gave a blank whit screen, all of them is updatable, but just won't work. chip set is atj2091n, samsung 643, if anyone got a working firmware applicable to mine, and able to send it to me I'd be very appriciated. one more thing, when it is pluged in, it shows up as several disks now, not just one single disk, does that have to do with this problem?
|
I figured that the mp3 player still works, everything still in function, only that shows a blank bright screen, anyone has this problem, or a solution to it? or know what is wrong with it? the lcd?
|
morrislee , the problem is likely not with your screen or hardware, but likely with the firmware which is not fully compatible.
Are you able to faintly see the menu or other things if you tilt the screen at various angles? If so, try loading the firmware into Waterlily and set the contrast/brightness setting. |
hum... so Waterlily is a program? and where would I go and download it? I found a firmware on here that I think was for my player, I was able to tell from opening from a program s1res.exe(or something) by the way, it there anyway just to add the games to my firmware?
|
morrislee , Waterlily is a firmware modifying tool. It can be downloaded here http://www.mympxplayer.org/waterlily...-mb-df256.html
Try playing around with the contrast/brightness setting. Regarding the games, you'll need to merge firmwares which contains more games into a compatible firmware for your player. It would not be easy to identify which firmware has more games than the others. However, it is not recommended as your player might just go dead again. |
seems like waterlily is not yet competable with my firmware, if possible, can I send you the firmware and you mod the contrast for me?
|
morrislee , if Waterlily could not support your firmware, then i'm not sure of any other methods to adjust the contrast/brightness. Perhaps you need to wait till it supports your version.
|
so you mean that even s1res.exe doesn't have the option to do it either? if so then I can stop looking in to that program
|
morrislee, The contrast adjustment is really only helpful if your screen is to dark and you need to make it brighter. I have also found it has no effect on players that do not have a Brightness setting in the system menu.
You can try Firmware Modifier HERE: http://www.mympxplayer.org/firmware-modifier-df17.html |
I have a 1.8 inch screen MP4. its memory is 256MB(used to show 2gb). it was going fine. yesterday, it ran out of charge , I left it as it is. today, I tried charging it, it didnt. WHen I connected it to my PC, nothing happened. It is DEAD. when I removed it, and tried to short circuit the pins of the IC, nothing happened. any idea? I didnt try any software upgradation.
|
you may try and open it and see it the usd connector pins inside if it is broken(happend to my old one) this may happen when the pin is a bit out of the place and when you pluge it use cord in and resulting in pushing the pins in or bending it. if not that problem look into either if the batteryis connected correctly, or is it a defective one. look for is anything looks like burned out, make sure you didn't staticed it due to the winter(you get more statics during winter some how) another thing i found out, all the people with the restarting problem, it is not the faulty machine, it is the statics also, try taking a sweater off and have the mp3 player touching the sweater, it will restart. Hope you get yours working!

Please help!!! I need firmware for my dead mp4
FW: B806K8X_v2.0 Core: 9.0.50 |
more detail please???
|
heres the specs
1.8 inch Large, 65,000 Pixels Full Color TFT LCD Display FW: B806K8X_v2.0 Core: 9.0.50 |
macking , there are some v9.0.xx firmwares in the downloads section here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html
If these do not work, then there is nothing much you can do. As the firmware extractor currently does not support any versions higher than v9.0.43. |
Quote:
i try the version 9.0.43 and 9.0.48 still don't work with my player, my next step is to copy the firmware of my friend's mp4 player coz we have the same model, gladly i extract his firmware using s1fwx , still the result is just a white blank screen Can anyone help me on what to do to recover my mp4? |
macking , two players may look exactly the same on the outside, even with same interface and screen images. But the firmware used maybe totally different from each other.
|
macking, If your friends player is also using 9.0.50 then the dump will not be usable. s1fwx will not extract a complete backup of any versions above 9.0.43. A new firmware extraction tool is being written for these newer versions but may not be available for some time.
|
just to double check
we have the same chipset SAMSUNG 640 K9L8G08U0M ATJ2091N |
Thanks Tadad1 for that info

l'm looking a picture which is refer to these statement - 'Using the tweezers or other metal item gently make a connection between the pins on one side of the chip. I have found this can be quite random you may also have to do it a few times.
'.. anybody got this pic?? |
Jong, I have just taken some new images and uploaded them.
|
thanx tadad1.. now my pc can detect my mp4 player but just 119MB, actually mine is 8GB.. l tried to upgrade the firmware to others version but it's still doesn't work... l don't have any ori firmware so what's the best firmware for my player.. fyi, old firmware was from ACTIONS ZHUHAI (maybe ver 3.0.?) ... my player : ipod clone with 1.5/1.8 LCD.. my chipset was Hynix...
|
Jong, You will find 2 chips on the players main board. Could you tell me the serial number of the large rectangular Hynix chip and also the serial number of the smaller square chip, it will be ATJ2085 or ATJ2091.
|
chip : HY27UF081G2A and ATJ2051
