bravehearted, Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'. Go to the 'Hardware' tab and click on the 'Driver Signing' button and select 'Ignore' and 'Make this action the system default' then OK. You should now be able to install the driver know.

popat007, When your player is in ADFU mode it will not show in Explorer because windows will not recognise it as a removable device. Once you successfully install a full version firmware it will show in Explorer then you will be able to format the player.
If you are having problems loading a full firmware try MP3 Player Utilities 4.05 or 4.07. |
Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
when i run mp3 utilities 4.05 -->mp3 player upgrade tool, itsays Device not detected
|
popat007, Try connecting your player to a different USB port.
What version was your players original firmware? |
Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
I just now tried with 4.07 and it says "Read or write device information failed.please exit the program and check if device is connecting."
it was 3.5.37 and my chipset is ATJ2085H samsung 631. i am trying from 2 days, i use all of my 3 usb ports now what should i d? |
popat007, What full version firmwares have you tried to load?
|
Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE

when i run FM.fw of 3.5.35Full.rar it says successfull retrived but do not show ADFU or any drive and when i try 3.5.37v2.1b itsaysno device detected. no sign .when i shot pins on booth side light came on to screen but no ADFU or drive. i dont understand whats happening. when i disconnect usb then also light remains and i connected once in usb of computer, nothing buzz or dectected. |

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
hi tadad1 i updated Full3.5.35 and it updated sucessfuly and now it shows drive letter :D i am happy Thanks Tadad1 now question is should i format drive or update firmware and what firmware :) :) :)

popat007,
Unfortunatly the recovery process is not an exacting science so there is no tried and true steps that work for all players. A couple of things that may help you though, when you get your player into ADFU mode and flash a full version firmware you may find you need to disconnect your player, switch it off and then back on before reconnecting it. If you find that the player is not detected again by either Explorer or the Update tool then you will have to short the chip again. If you find that the player is still in ADFU mode then you should be able to try a different full version firmware. Although it can be a long and frustrating process I suggest you try as many different full version firmware in the 3.5.XX series until you find one that takes your player out of ADFU mode and reconnects as a removable device in Explorer. If you try all the full version firmware and are unable to get the player out of ADFU then try repeating the whole process again using a different version of MP3 Player Utilities or Product Tool which you can download here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/product-t...ads-df234.html Some people have more success with this tool. As soon as your player shows up in Explorer be sure to format it in Fat format before you try loading any dump files. I am sorry I can only give you general suggestions but it is not easy to diagnose specific problems without having the player in front of me to test. Keep us informed of any progress you make. |

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
I followed everything to recovery my 1.5 inch mp4 player after it becomes blue light when i try to upgrade the firmware the MP3 Player Upgrade Tool says "unknown flash error" i tried every firware and it still the same i even tried the backuped dump file.So please help me what i will do now my player is now blue screen and i can only use it as a flash drive. PLEASE HELP ME
|
tonmoy , try repairing the dump file before flashing into your player.
|
Quote:
|
tonmoy , rename the firmware dump into dump.bin
Next, put it in the same folder as the S1fwx tool, and double click repair.bat The newly repaired file will be named as dump.bin, while the old unrepaired file will be renamed dump.bi$ Use the repaired dump.bin to flash into your player. |
tonmoy, Did you format the player after loading the full version firmware?
|

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
 Hi to all of you. I've got the same problem: a dead mpx player. I've followed the precious instruction at the top of this forum but I think i'm still far from the solution. When i try to save a new firmware in my dead mpx (I use the latest version of the tool - 4.07) the process stops after few seconds and the program doesn't react anymore. I've tried with many complete firmware versions but i'm still here! Please help me!

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
Dude you are amazing!! Super thx.
Fixed - So I followed the steps in detail. The only thing I would add to this for users with the ATJ2091H chip is the following link to the only firmware that I would will work: http://www.mympxplayer.org/full-vers...lcd-df441.html This latest chip set is for the 4GB device. Since the new firmware and reformat (FAT32) it works fine now. Yes, I owe you a beer! PBXJEDI |
bobo1701 , try to use other versions of MP3 Utilities. Uninstall the current v4.07 and install other versions like 3.68, 4.00, etc.
|
help meeeeeeee! I'M ARRIVED AT THE BLUE SCREEN BUT I CAN'T FIND A GOOD FIRMWARE! MY POD BOARD IS APPLE-M V2!!!
|
hey picnik try this one
http://www.mympxplayer.org/dload.php...ad&file_id=300 |
i upgrade 9.50.00 firmware and i would like to know how to upload my backup dump.bin
thank's |
ngauss2005, If your player is using 9.0.50 firmware then your dump.bin will be no good. the firmware extraction tool s1fwx 3.1 will only work on version 9.0.43 and the 3.5.XX series firmware.
If your player is dead then all you can do is try some of the 9.0.XX sweries firmware in the Download>Firmware section, if they do not work for you then you may not be able to recover your player at the moment. A new firmware tool is being developed for these newer version firmware but it may be some time before it is released. |
