hy i tried the guide but my problem is that mypc recognise the mp3player as unknown device and i can't install the adfu driver for it:S Please help me:)

Pappa Smurfer 29th May 2008 3:57 pm

I have an OEM KG216 that I tried to put new firmware on (from the CD provided) but I think I bricked my player. It flashes on and off and is non-responsive to the buttons or the reset button. The player wont stay on long enough for my computer to recognize there is anything in the USB. Before I completely void any warranty by opening it up, will this process work for me? Thank you so much1

vitko 30th May 2008 10:30 am

why did you flash it? if you have warranty, go to your store.

Is your battery full? try filling it!

vitko 31st May 2008 12:30 am

OK, found the firmware. But I can't upgrade! I can't click the Upgrade Button in Upgrade tool! MP4 is recognised as an ADFU device, but I can't see it in explorer!

Hello everybody, my name is Paul and I am a murderer...I killed my mp4. Is a noname brand(nJoy PMP-181). I opened it and the only things i found are these:
HYNIX KOR
hy27uu08ag5m
TPCB 73A
MTUJ3268Q

I think this is the memory.
ACU7515
GA094EA 5AH

This is the Control...I am prety sure.
XLX1013V4-K2
2007/10/12

This I think it's the Plate Number.
But I can't find the screen number.
I have to mention that it's a mp4 with 1.8 inch screen, it's got some kind of touch butons...and it's got another button on the side witch powers it on, and blocks the buttons...
I would fall in love with the one that helps me bring my mp4 back to life.

I put on my MP3/MP4 one drove firmware and now I have a blue screen which ignites but without anything more.
I dismounted it and makes all the procedure to repair it with another firmware but I think that I will need this version of the firmware absolutely: XID-91N51-V5 of 2007-05-28/9.0.50/2005-01-09 to repair my MP3/MP4.
Please if somebody has this version of the firmware I hope that it will send a message to me.

There is nothing to make of other but wait until somebody puts on this forum this version of the Firmware: XID-91N51-V5/9.0.50.
The MP3/MP4 will not be able unfortunately to function without this version of the firmware.

Hi all !
I've bought this mp4 player !

Ebay page

The problem is that I've make a mistake with it and it's dead.
I've tried the recovery ... When I put the usb i hear a sound and the mp4 is recognize as S1MP3 ADFU Driver so I think it's a good point but i can't see the mp4 logo in windows, if I use MP3 player update tool it doesn't work ( Device not detected ) and the screen is black.
I don't what is the good firmware ! I remembre that it was written 9.1.53.
I've open the mp4 and see lots of things written :

SCC 2008.02.16
SCC25-007QQV01

AK1025
8C018AB 0D3

If someone could help me it will be great ! Thanks a lot ! BYE

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE

I just want to say thank you all for your help :D

Alright listen up guys...
I did a little of fiddling around for my 1 gb
nano clone mp4
ACU7515

1) download MP3 Player Utilities 4.15 and install
Note: after installing this your computer will recognize you device as "adfu something " instead of "usb device".
2) now follow the instructions on installing the AdfuUpdate.inf file on this device.
3)then install MP3 Player Utilities 3.68
then find the firmware and recover it...

MakaveliThaDon 20th Aug 2008 11:07 am

if you are having trouble with mp3 utilities detecting your player, its because your player is being read as s1mp3 adfu driver.....follow these instructions...

if drivers are already installed, then uninstall or update them....

when installing your mp3/mp4 player...

1. wen the first installation screen comes up, click '3. no not this time'

2. then select 'install from a specific location'

3. select 'dont search i will find the driver myself'

4. then you should see a list of devices, select ''USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device' then click next

it should install, when the error comes up just click 'continue anyway'

if this doesnt work, try clicking 'have disk' and selecting the AdfuUpdate.inf fromt he windows folder, then proceed with number 4.

after that the upgrade tool finally detected my player, but so far i hav'nt been able to find a compatible firmware

lynx17 23rd Aug 2008 11:37 am

please help me out somebody... i've got sony mp4 clone with 512mb,2.0 mp camera radio.
i have accidently formatted my player in bootmode and thus deleted the firmware.

i have no backup of my player, all i have now is the player working in bootmode.when i connect it to my pc it shows me 3 drives.

question is that i have shortened the pins of memory but nothing happens except the screen of player became white and blank instead of annoying "loading.." screen.

plzz somebody help me to recover this s*it.

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE

Hello everyone! I just want to let you all know I fixed my MP4 player this is how I did it:
1) Put the Samsung chip in recovery mode (S1mp3.org Dead recovery guide)
2) Use windows 98. For some reason XP does not see it!
3) Down load mp3 player product tool 5.12 (use mass product tool program) when you use this software only have the MP3 player plugged in! unplug any other USB hardware like a printer. This program only sees only on USB port at a time.
4) I used BO-25002-voo 3H-L12.fw (Full firmware no FM radio)
5) The hourglass faded away after it was done installing.
6) Turn it off then turn it back on and should work!
Good Luck! :)

Help finding firmware

HI! Recently I bought an mp4 player from a reseller from Greece, named Plaisio, Turbo-X tp2 player. I've found that is exactly like this:
my MP4 player
or like this
My mp4 player

A simple image is here:
http://image.ec21.com/image/aerospac...MP4_Player.jpg

My problem is that I've tried to upgrade the firmware and I upgraded with a different version and now my player is DEAD. Only a white(light gray) screen is seen. For 3 times I reinstalled the firmware but I didn't found the good one. Help me please finding the good firmare and a way to upgrade, because after those tries I cannot anymore get the player in the Upgrade mode. I readed almost posts here but I didn't find some useful information to solve my problem.
I want to reinstall my old firmware or a new version, doesn't matter, I want to see my player working.
Thanks a lot!

Hallo :)
First of all, thank you for the advices in this forum which is very helpful.
I am new member, I have the same problem and I'd like to ask in this forum perhaps someone can help me to solve the problem of my mp3 player.

1. MP3 player was fine until when I update the firmware, mp3 player no longer running even blank ..
I check in Windows Explorer, the removable disk is not detected.
Unfoftunately I don't have firmware back up :(

2. I re-installed the driver of my mp3 player. After the install, in the tray at the right top of the windows shows the USB 2.0 (FS) ADFU Device is detected.
When I plug in MP3 player unplug devices, the speakers alert sounds detected.
But when I check the windows explorer in the removable disk is not detected
I tried the mp3 player utilities.. still, removable disk is not detected ..

Then I check in computer management-disk management, there is also a removable disk is not detected ..
Even devices usage is enable (use this device)

I don't know how to solve it.. I cannot edit/delete or format my mp3 player because the removable disk is not detected :(

I bought this mp3 player in ebay several months ago, so I don't know where to get service and I can't return it.

This is an example pic which is very similliar to my mp3 player:
http://imgs.tootoo.com/3b/82/3b82f05...affd1f06b7.jpg

One more question, I wonder how to find the correct firmware for our mp3 player? where to find it? is there any way to know the correct one?

My mp3 player spec: Samsung 552 K9W8G0801M PCB0
ATJ2051
It's Car Mp3 player FM with Transmitter

Guys, please help me..
Please forgive for my bad English

Thank you
