Hello! I have this JOY 888 (copy of newman K8player Anykaa AK3221mb, 2 GB, 2MP camera chip ,wich is dead...
BOARD: KGMP888-GAME-AK-V3(covered by the SD card slot)

When i try to start it it shows "Loading...." and that way it stays untill i press reset. No USB conectivity!

When i enter bios by pressing and holding power button for 10 sec, it enters a blue screen writing :"BIOS KG888-5.3.2-LinDa-F Please Press Reset!".

Pressing any button on the device in the BIOS state makes "Please press reset" text blink, after 4 buttons pressed(random) it doesn't blink any more.Could it be a button combination for the device to enter firmware upgrade state?Does anybody know how to rewrite firmware on thes device? It has no USB conectivity at all and the bios menu does not promt me for formating or anything else. !Please Help , Thanks!

Very nicely written guide.. but I'm still having a problem:

I have this device (1.8 inch; 1GB; AMV; MP3; WMA; FM radio; Ebook; 65k colors...) Here's a picture: http://www.cdrking.com/local/product...410849-2488327
The device connects and gets recognised in windows as an ADFU device, so I'm having it in "recovery state" when connected to the PC.

I have a MP4 player just like this one, only it's 2GB
On it's processor is written: ACU7513 and 02144CA?C3C
On the memory: SAMSUNG713 and K9LAG0?U0M and PLB0
( The "?" are the letters where i cannot read what letter or number is there. )
I would be very great full if someone can point me out to a framework that could work on my MP4 player.
Thank you in advance!

EDIT: The last version that worked on it was 9.0.50 or 9.1.50... can't really remember

Hi all,
I have a death mp3 player too. noname branch just called MP4 Digital Player

HYNIX KOR
HY27UT088G2m
TPCB 735AA

ATJ2092N
processor

I do not know if I unpluged it wrong or how it crashed. The PC is not detecting the player anymore. I come so far that I can see the sandclock again on the 1.8 inch display but nothing else. In Vista and XP it is detected as unrecogniced USB device, if i try to install the driver i get a blue screen and system reboots.

Please tell me how i can fix this mp3 player and maybe update the firmware, format the memory. There should be a way of repairing it, for me it seems like an software issue.

Tank you to everyone how is able to assist me.

So I tried Using again FRM but FRM unable to detect any device. whearas as soon i connect on System my computer shows 2 removable drives one 1 GB (internal Flash memory) an other 2 GB my SD flash Kingston card.
I have a secure backup of my Orignal firmware. But unable to put it back. drivers of my PMP is SPCA5000 all things are prefect but I would like to know the way to boot my Device and detect it to FRM there after i can re burn my old Firmware which works. So please help me.
On internet I have heard if such problem occurs due to wrong firmware either we need to open and short circut an IC pin. or We need to please combination of Secret Button to detect the device to System than open FRM and load the Firmware.
PLease Help me.

Can't move on

Hello, fellas, so here's my deal:
Player Specs: I have an ipod nano clone:

Large Chip: hynix KOR HY27UU08AG5A TPCB 902H
Mid Chip: AK1025 81003AB 21B
Little Chip: Colment CL6010 M1 2008

Issue:
Okidoki,so I'm gonna tell you delay by delay ¬¬, so that you can help me better:
With this guide I get to the part where is needed to get the ADFU device thingy, so I tweezer-it, get there and choose the "don't search option" and click next, but when clicking next I'm not getting the "show all devices" part; it takes me right to the "select driver" one, then at that part the option it delivers me is "USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device", click on Have Disk, search for ADFUUPDATE.INF, but mine is "AdfuUd.sys" and it is in system32/drivers (don't know if that affects in some way), later the USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device is installed, but here's my problem: I can't enter it on My Computer nor using RDiskUpdate from MP3Utilities, can't enter it from anywhere and the properties tell me that it's working fine, hence I don't know what to do next.

Question:
Any advice, mate? Can't get past there, I'm totally stuck.

damm.admin 23rd Jan 2010 9:33 pm

Hello i need help. i did what is said in recovery guide. when i short the pins and select afudupdate.inf it installs as Actions USB 2.0(HS)WinUSB Device, not AFUD DEVICE. any helpp plzz??

Can you create a seperate post instead?
In the subject, put the firmware information. This will help with the searches and if people find a compatible firmware, will post a reply to you.

Got the drivers for the usb device installed but windows isn't picking it up in my computer or disk management? how can i format?

ians1 7th Apr 2010 12:31 am

Very often the USB leads supplied are faulty. I had a ipod lead and a mini USB lead supplied for 2 players both faulty. Replace with better quality ones cured player/upload problems etc.

I have an ms 408 gloss:

Chip: hynix KOR HY27UU08AG5A TPCB 821F

i can not find firmware :(

mabboseg 15th Apr 2010 4:24 am

Hi kocko

I guess the HY27UU08AG5 is a 2GB Hynix flash chip. You will need a lot more information to find the firmware. Like numbers of controller chip and display device. Also if you could post the picture of your player so that people with a similar one can see... and share their firmware with you.

hope this will help........

kocko 15th Apr 2010 3:45 pm

MS 408 gloss
It is HY27UU08AG5 TPCB 821F a 2GB Hynix flash chip.
display tipe: 1.66" tft
display resolution 160x128

can this help,to find firmware?

mabboseg 15th Apr 2010 9:21 pm

kocko ... just lift the battery and you would see another chip (second largest on board), this would be the micro-controller (master). Also on the side of the LCD would be some numbers written, post these two part numbers and see we could locate a suitable firmware for your device.

yes ... the largest chip is the flash memory and in your case it is a 2GB ... How much was stated on your player ??
