Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE

 Hi to all of you. I've got the same problem: a dead mpx player. I've followed the precious instruction at the top of this forum but I think i'm still far from the solution. When i try to save a new firmware in my dead mpx (I use the latest version of the tool - 4.07) the process stops after few seconds and the program doesn't react anymore. I've tried with many complete firmware versions but i'm still here! Please help me!

Dude you are amazing!! Super thx.

Fixed - So I followed the steps in detail. The only thing I would add to this for users with the ATJ2091H chip is the following link to the only firmware that I would will work:
http://www.mympxplayer.org/full-vers...lcd-df441.html

This latest chip set is for the 4GB device. Since the new firmware and reformat (FAT32) it works fine now.

Yes, I owe you a beer!

bobo1701 , try to use other versions of MP3 Utilities. Uninstall the current v4.07 and install other versions like 3.68, 4.00, etc.

i upgrade 9.50.00 firmware and i would like to know how to upload my backup dump.bin
thank's

tadad1 14th Feb 2007 8:30 am

ngauss2005, If your player is using 9.0.50 firmware then your dump.bin will be no good. the firmware extraction tool s1fwx 3.1 will only work on version 9.0.43 and the 3.5.XX series firmware.
If your player is dead then all you can do is try some of the 9.0.XX sweries firmware in the Download>Firmware section, if they do not work for you then you may not be able to recover your player at the moment. A new firmware tool is being developed for these newer version firmware but it may be some time before it is released.
