Thanks lattesurf.

I tried the latest version in the download section. MP3 Player Utilities 4.13

Same thing happens: stops after a couple (5) of completed blocks "downloading the restorable main program"..

edit: tried new Full firmware in download section. It uploaded! Now I only have to find the right dump file I guess..
I already have some flashing background lighting again! Thanks

tornadotcom , you should short the rectangular chip (the one with pins on both sides only). Just slowly go pin by pin until you can get the player to reboot.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

jony_valencia , the shorting of the pins is a trial and error method. There is no guaranteed combination of pins that would successfully reboot the player. You'll just need to keep trying.

jony_valencia , the shorting of the pins outlined in this guide is a trial & error method. Simply to say, it all depends on luck to get the right combination of pins that are shorted.

Just keep trying, and you'll soon get the player to reboot and install the ADFU.
