SnowWhite , please don't multiple repost.

i'll suggest that you try all the v3.5.xx series firmwares.
v3.5.35 here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3535-dc15.html
v3.5.37 here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3537-dc16.html

There is no way of telling which exact firmware would work with your player. You'll need to try every single one until you get one working with your player.

Good luck.

I have done exactly everything stated in the guide. When it gets to the point of uploading firmware, I have tried both versions stated in the guide, as well as 9.0.xx versions. NONE of these are working. My player's screen is completely black, and does absolutely nothing. My computer will occasionally recognize it as its own separate drive and assign it a letter. Usually it only shows as being a USB Mass Storage Device. I don't know what I'm doing with this thing. I don't know anybody who does. I can't tell which version of the firmware I need for it. All I know is that the chip I kept using the tweezers on says the following:

Samsung 728
K9G8G08U0M
FEF1078BC

One of the other chips on the board is covered with a silver sticker that will not come off. There is a TINY chip on the board, but I cannot read the writing on it.

When I got the player, I was never informed that I had to do anything to it other than format it. I knew nothing of firmware, or dump.bin files.

Right now, I fear my MP4 player is completely dead and cannot be recovered. I am seriously considering legal action against the person who sold the player to my husband on eBay (hailitele). Yes, I know, I should have checked to see if he was on the list, but I didn't know of any lists, and have NEVER dealt with a fraudulent seller on the site before.

If anyone has any ideas, please send me a private message. If you want to know what my player looks like, send me a PM and I will send you the pic.

I am so frustrated...I don't know whether to cry, scream, or start looking for a new MP4 player.

ProxyBiohazard , you'll need to identify the processor's serial, else it is very difficult to determine which group of firmware to try out.

Hi!

My mpx player is dead (like all you were thinking when start to read my post XD).

My first problem is that the PC could not recognize it. I plug into usb port and do the reset on chip. The mpx shuts off and on but it isn't recognized by XP. Windows don't do nothing.
I've tryed to do a lot of resets and restarts but without any lucky.

What can I do?
Thanks a lot ;-)

PS: Is a wilsong, lisong actions 9.0.48 (chipod or nano clone) and is full dead. Only see a white screen when starting it.

How in the world do I do that? My husband suggested I just toss the player in the trash, but I really want to fix it. It comes in handy on LONG car rides.

Paxet , you'll need to keep shorting the pins until your computer can detect the player and install ADFU. It's a trial & error method, so you'll just need to keep trying.

ProxyBiohazard , looks for the 2nd largest square black chip on the board. The serial number should be something like ATJ2085, ATJ2097, etc.

CAUTION!

When attempt to enter ADFU mode, short only indicated pins below (green):
