Biostem , what chipset is your player using? If it is an Actions chipset, then you'll need to install MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool and start flashing firmwares into the player. Once a compatible firmware has been flashed in, the drive letter would appear in My Computer.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

The clear plastic screen protector is just stuck on around the edge with thin double sided sticky tape, put your fingernail under a corner and peel it off.
As it looks like you have already removed the screws from the end plates you should now be able to push the insides of the player up out of the tube.
If the chips on your pcb are now visible note down the numbers. If you can only see the back of the pcb and chips are not visible then you need to then unscrew the printed circuit boards from the plastic frame holding them, should be 4 screws.
The display screen will be attached to the main PCB with sticky backed foam, peel it off and fold it back carefully taking care not to damage the ribbon cable which will then reveal the cpu and memory chips for identification.

Well, now I`m stuck at that "usb disk" screen!!! How can I quit that??? And the worst is that WindowsXP still does NOT recognize the usb disk :-( it says that AdufUpdate.inf does not contain the information needed to my device.

I just don't know what to do to get my player working again.... I need some serious help here....

TIA,

Monkey

@monkey

Yhou have to modify two lines of adfuupdate.ini
there's a guide in this forum.
you have to find vid & pid of your player
by device manager,
then replace them in the adfuupdate.ini

@mbi
tu dovresti avere lo stesso problema di monkey,
devi recuperare il pid ed il vid del tuo lettore tramite gestione periferiche
e sostituirli all'interno del file adfuupdate.ini alle righe esatte
C'è una guida sul forum.

How much time recovering firmware process can take?
If I try to flash my player with many firmwares
various versions of the tools stop themeselves at " downloading the restorable main program"

How much I have to wait?
