Obs, I know it can be very frustrating. try using a different USB port to connect with preferably one you have not used the player on before. Sadly 90% of these players have atj2085 and a samsung nand flash so the info does not help.

Sorry I can not be of more help but there is no quick fix, trial and error is the only option without a backup.

Guys i have a problem my s1 mp3/4 is this one http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/...7_7037.jpg&v=O I follow all the steps, the only advance that is a huge one is that i have now the screen in blue, but i tried lot of firmware but it remains blue, its that model, with the menu in the middle, it is 1,5 1 gb, Wilson Co, and the original version was 3.5.35 (i install the full 3.5.35), i didn t make a backup of the original so i don t have the dump.bin.....
Well i don t know what more i can tell you, well, it was dead because i tried to update it but i use a wrong firmware.. but well now it s giving signs of life, the screen is blue, the computer recognize it, and i can use it as a pendrive of 1 gb

Thanks guys for your help...

NZ rulez!!! Kiwis are the best, specially in rugby you are the first ones... Australia mmmm s*cks :P, i went once to Auckland (sky tower hotel) Rotorua (visit the geisers) and Wellington (i found more interesting Auckland)

Agustindv, It is just a matter of finding the right firmware for your player, keep an eye on the firmware section as new ones are loaded one may work for you.

tadad another question, first i have to install the full 3.5.35 firmware and then the correct dump

Or just installing the correct firmware the mp4 have to work? (because i installed the 3.5.35 and i m looking for the correct dump.bin, but the mp4 screen remains blue)

Agustindv A dump file does not contain all the files needed to recover your player and if your player is in recovery mode it will not accept a dump file.
A full version firmware will load all the files you need to boot your player but it may not be the right one for your player so the screen will be blue or black, but after loading it you can load dump files which gives you more chance to find the right firmware. If you can find the right Full Version great but they are hard to find.
The firmware you tried that looks correct may be using a different LCD screen driver than your player. There are so many different versions of players and firmware and even if they look the same they can all slightly differrent and have different internal components.
