Hey thanks for the guide. Its a great guide and very easy to follow.
However I still have a slight problem. WHen I select the AdufUpdate.inf and click ok i get the message " The specified location does not contain information about your hardware" If anyone knows how I can get past this step I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance Mike |
MikeyJay, winer22, and all:
I found lots of information about this same problem (which I am also still encountering) in this thread: http://www.mympxplayer.org/viewtopic.php?p=45993#45993 please let me know (in that thread), how it works out for you! |
Hello I have a problem. I have a dead player wich I tried to "resurrect" as tadad1 !
did in his guide but encountered some problems. When I tried to install the ADFU driver(couldn't find it in the Windows Folder so I installed it from my Mp3 Tools Folder), the device got installed as Actions USB 2.0 (HS) WinUSB Device. Now I'm thinking: is that's a problem, or I should carry on with upgrading the right firmware(I have already tried a few, none of wich seemed to work). Could someone tell me what to do next? I can't read what it says on the small chipset (only the first letters ATJ, wich doesn't seem to help me that much Neutral ), but the memory chip (hope I'm right) says Samsung and from what I have seen in a list, it's a 4 gb chip. Only id I can get it's a code written in the board: QY-042FV2-STLS-K 2006.12.30 I have used Mp3 Player Utilities 5.09 with fw 3.5.37 and 3.5.35, both ending up with messages like: "Invalid Upgrade Firmware File!" or "Device switching failed, reconnect device please!" |
tadad1 and everyone.
i tried this guide on my chinese fake 8gb nano mp3/mp4 player my chips are :ATJ2091N Memory chP: Hynix H27UFO82GA OTHE CHIP :CS3667GF GC208TE3 BOARD: JINBANG 9201 IPOD IS 8 GB (I THINK FAKE BUT NOT SURE) GREEN COLOR 5 BUTTONS ON FRONT AND OFF/OFF SWITCH ACTUALLY I FORMATED IT AND AFTER POWER ON ITS JUST SHOWING BUSY ICON AND MANY TIMES JUST FLASH SCREEN WITH BUSY ICON EVEN WINDOW DIDNT RECOGNIZE DRIVER ON CD WINDOWS XP SAIYNG usb device IN HARDWARE I TRIED THE STEP U SAID BUT WINDOWS IS NOT ACCEPTING AdfuUpdate.inf I HAVE IN MY CD, I DOWNLOAD aduf DRIVER FROM DRIVER GUIDE BUT EVEN WINDOW IS NOT TAKING IS AS A DRIVER . CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME TO FIND OUT THE PROBELM AND GUIDE ,I WILL BE VERY THANKFULL TO YOU thanks in advance DJMAN2008 |

Re: DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE
lol, so unlucky for me.
i didn't find the right firmware, maybe 9.0.43 or 48, and now, i can't see it in window explorer anymore. But before, when i used 9.0.5 or 9.1.xx, i could see the blue screen all time (but now just for a while after turn on ). So now i don't know how to make window have a warn about this for me to install driver, anyone can help me ? and this is my player info, please help me, too : Quote:
