wikiwiki44,
You need to provide details of your player.
What functions does it have (games,fm radio etc)?
What did the original theme look like?
What was the original version number?
Why did you try to upgrade, what problems were you having?
What state is your player at the moment, is it recognised by windows, can you access it in Explorer, does it turn on?
Does it have a brand name?
Where did you buy it?

This information will help in finding a firmware to match your player.

tadad wrote a very good guide here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/viewtopic.php?t=567

I would suggest have a look at that as it would help you recover your player.

Good luck and let us know of the outcome.

Re: my nano clone is down

wikiwiki44, Do you know what version your original firmware was?

If not I would suggest you download a selection of 3.5.35 and 3.5.37 firmware from Download>Firmware
Then using s1res from the Download>Tools section look at the images inside the firmware and find ones that have the same flower theme, these are your best bet at finding the firmware you need.

The process is going to be trial and error and your player could get worse before it gets better. If you find that your player stops responding and is no longer recognised by Windows or you can not connect with the MP3 Update Tool you will have to follow the Dead Player Recovery Guide as Binh has pointed out.

Let us know how you go. If you have any questions along the way just ask.

I think this might work for you. This is the original firmware that came with my nano clone
