Default Updated firmware on player, now flashing black and blue


Hi

Today I just wanted to upgrade my fake nano to a theme I found on this website and as i upgrade the file.. My whole nano is screw up it keeps flashing black and blue.

Ken, The firmware you used is not compatible with your player if the player is still recognised by Windows and visible in explorer then you should be able to restore your player with your backup dump.bin.

I dont know what my firmwware is and I didn't back it up...
I tried the Recovery Guide but I get struck at the reconvery state and don't have a firmware to use.

I have two of the samething and I check the ipod's firmware and it says:

2005/12/16
3.5.35

2006/01/18
JTYMD046V4

I wonder if this helped

Have a look at the Full Firmware section here.

This should hopefully bring some live back, but you will then need to find a compatible firmware to make it operational.

Have look then in the [Firmware] section here under our [Downloads] area for a suitable one for your player. Hopefully you will find one that's suitable. Matter of trial and error.

Ken101, If you do not know what Version firmware you had you need to just try random ones till you find one that works.

Since I can't find my firmware on the download. I was wondering if my backup dump file will help? to recover my player

I now have the firmware from my other nano but the one that was messed up doesn't turn on.. i wonder if my player is dead??

Ken101, Sounds like a dead player. I suggest you follow the Dead Player Recovery Guide. If your other nano is the same as the one not working after flashing with one of the full version firmware you should be able to use your backup to recover.
