I think that I don't find the right firmware!
 

Hi all!! I have an IPod nano clone 2Gb 1.5". My old firmware SC85051B ACT_V3.5.35 2006/03/17. I Update with a wrong firmware and now my player dead. I use the "DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE" and arrive to "Now is recover state, and select the firmware file for recovering please!". When i try to put a new firmware with the "MP3 Player Upgrade tool" and push "Recover Firmware"
appear the error: " Unknown flash type!" and the display turn on blue screan! :cry: If i turn off the player and i turn on the display is black.
I try with all fimware that there are in this forum.
I don't find the right firmware! And i don't view in "my computer" the device

Please help! :(

bianchidavide, What version of MP3 Player Utilities are you using?
When in recovery mode are you flashing with a Full Version Firmware or a dump.bin?

Tadat1, I use the 3.68 and i try with MP3 "Player Product Tools 4.19" also.
I flashing with a Full Version Firmware and a dump.bin

bianchidavide, Have you been able to flash any firmware to it since it has been in recovery state?

tadad1, When i put the player in recovery state i put the firmware and the player start in blue screen but in the second step, when i try to put the full firmware, i started the upgrade tool and my player turn off and automatly turn on with this error: "Device switching failed, reconnect device please!"

Help please! :(

Another question: If in the first step i put one full firmware, my player start correctly or is necessary two step?

In the fist step i use this:

For the fist step i try with other full firmware also, but nothing is changed

I am sorry I do not know why your player will not let you try to load a dump file after you install the full version firmware. Have you check the mini CD to see if there is firmware for your player there.
You could try to contact your seller and ask if he can send you the firmware or get it from his supplier. I wish I could put my hands on this thing and help you fix it.
Where did you buy it from?

tadad1, i buy this player in april when i went in china for work and is impossible to change it! :(
In the mini CD inside the box is all in Chinese language :cry:

bianchidavide, Are there any .bin files or .fw files on the CD.

tadad1, I have already watched. there is only one file. the name is LAYOUT.BIN but is only 1 KB. Is impossible that is un firmware

i bought a nano clone from HK if you wish you give me your e-mail adress and i am send all my firmware fişles on the cd.

Its not worked for me maybe worked to you.
