Default Bad firmware/dead blinking 1GB iPod clone player

Well, i tried to upgrade my firmware to 3.35.5.7 (was 3.35.5.5), but it screwed up my player. I did backup the original firmware, which now is lost as well, thanks to my wonderful mother that just HAD to "clean" my desktop...

Here are the pictures of it, I haven't seen this model around forums. I followed that guide to recover it, but it didn't work at all.

Can anyone help me or point out something else? It turns on, the screen blinks a little, computer won't recognize it. Thanks for any help.

erickhc, The only way I know to recover a dead player not recognised by XP is shorting the memory chip as outlined in the DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE. But your player is very different internally to my 2 clones. It is especially interesting to see you have provision for a second memory chip. This is the first time I have seen a player that has the potential to be a true 4GB player by utilising 2x2GB chips.
I can only suggest you keep trying the process. I know of one person who gave it one last try before trashing his player and it worked.
