Dead player / 2GB iPod clone

I have an 2Gb iPod Clone. I update with a wrong firmware and now is dead.

My player have:

- CIP Memory: HYNIX KOR HY27UF081G2M TPCB 606A
- CIP Cpu: AMP2085
- BOARD ID: MP-693C-SL
MAIN V1.3 2005.12.14

And b4 i have this firmware:
SC85051B
2006/03/17
ACT_V3.5.35

My menu before was: Features Music, Record, Voice, Ebook, Pictures, TelBook, Games, Video and Settings.

I use the "DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE" but nothing.
I try with a full version of firmware and with a dump file also.
I arrive to the point that install my player and appear blue screen.

Now i have two problem.

1: Previously b4 I flash my MP3 play
There is 2 drive when I set to online mode
e: is 100MB
f : 1997MB
But now only see e drive which is 108mb

2: after i turn on the player i wait 30/40 second and i open the "MP3 Player Update Tool" but appear this error: Device switching failed, reconnect device please!

Please help!!! :(

Re: Dead player / 2GB iPod clone

Hi there,

 It seems that I have the same player with the same problem. I made an upgrade with an imcompatible fw. I don't have a backup
All functions are working, except the screen (lightblue screen).
Maybe someone can help with a firmware-file ?

Thanks a lot
Ella

bianchidavide, Have you had any storage problems with your player as the Hynix data sheet for the chip you mention "HY27UF081G2M" descibes it as a 1GB chip. http://www.chipcatalog.com/Hynix/HY27UF081G2M.htm

tadad1, ok, but now the most important is to give one new life to the player....

bianchidavide,
THE DEAD PLAYER RECOVERY GUIDE is the only way I know to fix your player. If you still have a blue screen you have not yet found the right firmware for your player and must keep trying others.
