Default Please help

I have mp3 player, S1 chip. wilson.co.ltd 512 Mb. Without the FM radio.

Repair of the orginal FW, using tools from this page went wrong, so i had to open it and short circuit the pins in order to get to the ADFU stage.

I've tired as much as 7-8 different FW's, and neither managed to "grab".

In middle of procces of upgrading with mp3 player upgrading tool message jumps "Read or write device information failed! Pelase exit the program and check if the device is connecting".

Anybodi has some ideas? What FW to try with, or what were I doing wrong in procces, and could I do anything more , is it drop-dead piece of electronic???

Thanks in advance...

dolce, When this happens you need to short the pins again to reset. You need to first use one of the full firmware in the firmware download section then once your player is alive you can then try using the dump files in the download section. It is impossible to tell you which one is going to work as there are so many variations. If you know what version number your original firmware was start with those.

You mean to shortcircut pins every time before trying FW? as i wrote, it is already in the ADFU state.

The orginal dump file, which i made with s1fwx, doesnt work with standard upgrading tool, says "wrong firmware file".

Anyone has FW of this model: wilson.co.ltd 512 Mb, MP-317??

dolce,
If your player is in recovery state you need to flash it twice to fix it.
The first time you must use a FULL VERSION FIRMWARE you can download some from here: http://www.mympxplayer.com/dload.php...gory&cat_id=35
The first one might not recover your player but after you will be able to use your original dump.

If you are having a problem with your original dump make sure you have repaired it using the repair.bat in the s1fwx folder.

I have repaired it using repair.bat, but program wouldnt recognise it as a correct dump. I've did as you wrote, even tried multiple firmwares, and even multiple flash programs. Some dudnt work and program displayed message "connection lost", and some ligt up the led screen on player for a while then display the same message.

dolce, Then all I can suggest is you try random firmware till you find one that suits your player. If your player stops responding or being recognised you need to short the chip again or if it is visible in windows you may need to format it before the dump is accepted.
