quark, If it is a hacked player then the only thing you can try that might fix the restart problem is to format the player but there is no telling how much space you will have remaining once you have formatted it.
You could open the player and check the chip serial number on the manufacturers web site. |

Some things to try: 1. FORMAT your player. this will clear up any corruptions or hacks done to the player that might cause this problem. 2. Try to extract the firmware while plugged into your player. Save the dump.bin file. 3. Run a scan disk from Windows and get it to fix any problems. 4. If those don't work, then use that extracted firmware and flash your player with it to see if that also fixes the problem. Try that and let me know of the the result. |
Re: my player restarts everytime i turn it on
thanks for the help... its operating now...
what i did was i ...then extracted my firmware...repair it using the s1fwx tool then formatted my player and end up having a 512mb player (as expected)...then put back my extracted firmware...actually after that my player did not restart again but kept on flashing a message saying "Format Error" so i cut all my files and paste it all again one by one (whew!!!) but it pays to do it...so that i will know which file has an error... thanks again... |
