Please help Dead player
 

I tried to change firmware. It caused flashing screen. Now computer recognizes it only as USB device and I cannot get windows to install drivers from the afduUpdate.inf file. Says specified file does not contain information on your device. I tried to short out the pins on memory each time I do it shows up as an USB device not a ADFU device.
So how do I either get windows to install the software as a USB device or how do I short correctly to be a ADFU device? I assume if it does connect as a ADFU device, then the AFDUupdate.inf will be recognized? Hopefully since the computer still can detect the player it can be flashed again? I have tried professional upgrade, regular upgrede tools... none will see the player unless windows can identify it. Is there a way to force windows to see information from ADFUupdate.inf? Do I keep shorting at different locations untill windows sees it correctly?

Sorry to be so long winded...just very frustrated after one day with a new player...

ddish, Try right clicking on My Computer and select Properties. Then go to the Hardware Tab and select driver signing, set to Ignore and set as default. Also you may need to be logged into Windows with Administrator rights.
