My player is dead!

Hello. I have bought a new mp4 player 2 days ago. I'm too newbie for devices like this. So that was not hard to make it dead.

My player looks like this. Its SONY 3-316.

SC85051e ACT 3.5.35 I saw this in SYS Setup > Software Version before its dead.

The CD which came with player does not contains the original firmware above.

When i try to start my player, a dark-blue screen is coming up, and nothing happens. No changes on usb connecting, charging, and formatting.

Need help.

That guide looks very useful. But has too many risks. Someone who dont know a lot of about electronic, can damage the device.

If i install the firmware to my device, which is fully same with mines, solve my problem?

localhost, As long as your player is still recognised by the MP3 Upgrade utility you can just keep loading firmware till you find the right one. If it stops responding though the only method I know for recovery is in the guide. Good luck man I hope you find the right one.

Hmm. I finally give my device to a eletrician shop who can make it a short circuit.

And finally i can no longer use mp3 upgrade tool. gives error on starting it. Error come from with "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" title.

Anyway. I have to wait 2 days to hear about my device from the shop.
